Axis Mechanical Plumbing Service
AMAZING! Chris was able to get my shower head replaced quickly. I needed the hot and cold reversed on my bathroom sink and he did that quickly too.Chris is very knowledgeable and an overall nice guy. If you need plumbing services look no further than Chris with Axis Mechanical. Can't wait for the company to add handymen service too. I found Chris on Yelp & I'm very happy to be the first customer to post a review! If I could give Chris 10 stars I'd definitely do so!!!!!

Kenosha Plumbing Plumbing Service
Kenosha is fantastic!  Too many great things to say about them - our water heater went out on Thursday evening and we were scheduled for a replacement the very next day!  Katie, in the head office is amazing and wonderful to work with!  When the guys came, they were extremely professional and were in and out before you knew it.  They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

G&G Rooter Plumbing Service
Kory is the best! I felt so comfortable with him in my home. He was knowledgeable, timely and affordable. As a new homeowner, I'm so glad I found G&G Rooter. When I call G&G come to my home at 9 p.m. I didn't know if the would, but they are a true 24/7 company and I was so thankful for the peace of mind they provided, when other 24/7 companies wouldn't have come until the next day. Thank you so much!!

Schoofs Plumbing Plumbing Service
We had a toilet that needed to be replaced in a bathroom that required a special size toilet due to space restrictions. As I was in a hurry I ordered a toilet on Amazon. Before it arrived Schoofs came over, looked at the specs form the internet, and assured me they would be able to install when arrived. In addition, they looked at a few other non-emergency issues in the house and gave me an honest assessment of what could wait or was not cost efficient at this point to pursue. Very honest overall. When the toilet arrived they came the next AM and had it installed within an hour or two and at or below the price originally quoted. Communication was always great as well. Thank you again.

Haucke Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Called several places and got quotes, they quoted me the same price everywhere else did.  Scheduled an appointment with them and they didn't show up, called them and wondered if they were still coming.  They had a plumbing emergency at some company, said they might make it there that day still.  Okay, waited around some more, nobody showed up, nobody called.  I called them, and they were closed.  Left a message asking for someone to call me back to reschedule.  They called the next day and rescheduled, no apology for making me wait around the ENTIRE DAY for them with no phone call to let me know that they weren't going to be making it.  Got the bill today, more than they quoted me.  Should have just gone with someone else when they didn't show up for the appointment and didn't call to even tell me they weren't coming. I completely understand that emergencies occur and that they have to take care of those things, but AT LEAST call the people who were actually scheduled with appointments to apologize that you can't be there and reschedule.  Is that too much to ask for?  I WASTED an entire day just waiting on them, and then they charge me MORE than I was anticipating.

Windy City Rooter Plumbing Service
Max charged the second installment on my debit card without my knowledge using the card info without my signature.
He never sent me a receipt because he never had it.
Never put your debit card in hand of Max because I have no idea how he can chargeYour debit card without your signature or passwords.
Use only a check or maybe a credit card so you have some time to disputed.
Every time I ask for my receipt he sends me the original contract that has my signature on it with first installment payment only and he keeps telling me I sent it to you but he never could produce a receipt with a signature of the second payment.
And Every time I ask for a receipt he threatens me  saying he will talk to his lawyer he will take me to the court.
All what  I'm asking Is  a receipt for the second installment with my signature on it which is normal every business should provide receipts for payments.
the way he talk to me is very unprofessional, disrespectful, and impolite.
An Absolute ConMan.

Roe's Repairs Professional Handyman Services Plumbing Service
No job is too big or to small...

... except, apparently, my job.  A phone number was all I could locate for Roe's Repairs--no possibility of submitting a form, no email address.  So I texted the owner with the details of the most complicated of 4 items that I needed taken care of.  All in all, probably a half day's work.

The message was read about 3 hours after I sent it, but that didn't elicit a reply, not even a quick text to let me know that Roe's schedule is full and that they're not taking on new work.

This was the 7th handyman I've contacted.  It seems nobody wants or needs work.
[sigh]

Oak Creek Plumbing and Remodeling Plumbing Service
A bathroom remodel was done. Absolutely terrible! Worst decision I've ever made was to hire them! Got a 5 year warrantee on the remodel. Constant problems over those 5 years. Multiple large leaks and project manager didn't believe us when we reported the leaks so getting them out to our home to fix the leaks took weeks at times and we couldn't use the shower. Grout cracking, grouting in places that are always to be caulked and never grouted so grout failed, broke our toilet so we had to pay for a new one, mis-measuring the tub so we had to order a more expensive tub to fit, refused to re-install baseboard around bathroom floor and had to pay extra for it to be done and they made me paint it, repeated re-tiling because was done wrong 3 times, caulk failure around tub and other areas and areas had to be re-caulked many many times. There has been more that has gone wrong. We're still in our 5 year warrantee period but I hired someone else to repair the grout and caulk this time (August 2022) because I don't trust Oak Creek Plumbing at all. Rude, dismissive, unprofessional, poor workmanship, poor customer service. When making repair requests and asking for our warrantee to be honored, the repairs at times took months to get someone out to fix it. Only hire them if you want everything to go wrong.

O'Leary Plumbing, Heating & Electrical Plumbing Service
O'Leary was the subcontractor used by my general contractor, and they were responsible for the HVAC system on my addition. It was installed in summer 2020 and has been a lemon ever since. Anytime the temperature outside gets above 85, our brand new system doesn't cool - my  indoor temperature in the addition rises to very uncomfortable (sometimes mid 80s!) temperatures. They have come out four times to fix it. TBD if it's actually fixed now.

All I know is my 35 year old system on our main floor operates like a champ, and it's very confusing why this one is so awful.

I had them come and do a quote to install a shower, sink, and toilet in my basement. They were about $4,000 above all competitors. Very high.

Alpine Plumbing Plumbing Service
Called Alpine back in Feb 2017 because I wasn't getting enough hot water. Was told I needed a new hot water heater, to the tune of around $1700. When I called back a few weeks later and explained that this didn't fix the problem, I basically got the cold shoulder, no attempt to correct or address the issue.
Several months later, I had an issue with mold in the utility room. Upon investigating, my husband and I found that one of the HVAC drain hoses was up against the wall, nowhere near the floor drain, causing condensate to run under the wall. I can't prove that their installer moved it, but he was the last one in there, and judging by the quality of the cleanup, I definitely wouldn't be surprised.
A few weeks ago (June 2021), I noticed I had no hot water on a Sunday evening. Circuit breaker was tripped. Thought, weird, but maybe has something to do with everyone running AC with the heat wave, so reset it. Still no hot water. Called the 24 hour 'hotline' and left a message. No call back. Called Monday morning, left a message. Received a voicemail an hour or so later that someone could be out today in the afternoon, and I should call back to confirm if that worked for me, when I called back (within two minutes of it being left), a most unpleasant woman told me that they had a tech available, but was he now booked, as I hadn't called back quickly enough and I could either pay them for overtime to come out that night or wait until tomorrow. When I explained how unhappy I was and how wrong I thought that was, I was told to call someone else.
After making a few more calls, my husband ended up taking a look at it. First thing he found was that the flexible conduit running to the heater was as loose as can be on the water heater end. On inspecting connections to the incoming power, one of the wire nuts had melted, then wires melted through the plastic inside the connection area, shorting to the shell of the heater (ground). Note that the melted wire nut was apparently yellow (see pic). My husband noted that per the package of wire nuts, 'yellow' is undersized for this application (2 x #10 AWG), they both should have been red, as the other one was. Oh, and the conduit was so loose because the hole in the cover was about 3 sizes too big for the fitting used- and rather than use a couple of $0.59 reducing washers, they just flopped it together as is.
As my husband put it, one doesn't need to be an electrician to figure something like this out - I would surely expect someone who installs stuff like this to know how to use the right fittings and components. Thank God for circuit breakers, or my house almost surely would have burned down...
