SolarFix treated me like family....

When an error message and a red light appeared on the inverter screen of my 12 year old solar system indicating the inverter was not working, I called the manufacturer to see what to do. They suggested changing a couple of printed circuit boards in the inverter which was easy but did not solve the problem. After further analysis by them over the phone they told me the inverter's  mother board was "fried" and that I needed a complete new unit..... about $5000, but they were "out of stock" with a six month backlog for a replacement.  That's when I called the original system installer (who happens to be the largest solar installer in AZ)  to see how soon they could replace it with another brand.  They told me they were so slammed with requests for complete solar systems that it would be about 9 months before they could get to a repair like mine! So upset was I that I had an expensive 12,000 watt solar system on my roof that I couldn't use, I called the two other largest installers. Never heard back from one of them and the other one was supposed to send me a quote for an inspection and never even did that!  It seemed to me that the big companies were more interested in selling a complete new system than repairing an existing one.  After a lot of research, I found five smaller companies who are certified for solar work. I called them all and heard back from two. One came out and gave me an extremely high quote. Another had a somewhat lower quote, but still in the $6000 range. I never heard back from the other three.  Fortunately,  one of the managers at my original installer felt badly about the 9 month wait  and directed me to SolarFix LLC in Surprise, AZ. From the moment I spoke with Laura in the service department and Mike Craig, one of the owners of the company, I knew I was in good hands. Mike came out to inspect and test the system at no charge. He and his partner, Cameron, asked why I wasn't re-furbishing my faulty inverter. I told them I had spoken to the manufacturer several times and they never suggested that nor did I think it was possible. It was then that they  called and spoke with the inverter manufacturer from my home and told me after the call   that their electrician, Miguel, would  remove the inverter and that I should  contact the manufacturer and make arrangements  to ship it back and  get it refurbished. The bottom line was that I shipped it back the next day, had it repaired and returned in a little over two weeks. Miguel and Cameron came out to reinstall it and start it up the next week.  The readings I have seen on it tell me it is producing energy like it was new. I recognize that I don't have a 10-year warranty that a new inverter comes with, but when I learned from the manufacturer that when one of their inverters under warranty goes bad, they often ship the homeowner a refurbished one, I felt that I was likely to get many years of good life from the refurbished inverter at one-third the cost with a replacement time that was almost immediate compared with waiting months for someone to generate a quote and install a new one. The work by SolarFix was quick, efficient and they treated me like family by directing me to a much less expensive solution. These days, it's almost impossible to find a company that acts and responds like SolarFix did for me.

Tony came to our house for a consultation, mind you, we just had some questions about an improper installation and were looking for some answers. He didn't have to do this but he did it anyway.
He is extremely  knowledgeable, extremely friendly and you can tell his sincerity is real. He wasn't trying to SELL me. He was trying to EDUCATE me and gave me the information we were looking for.
If solar is what you are looking for, I would recommend Brilliant Solar Solutions above any others. You'll get what you need and I believe you'll avoid any problems you may have from other Solar companies.

We had AES install rooftop solar 5 years ago and was completely satisfied with the design and installation. When we had a minor problem with a new style inverter used on our array, AES sent out an electrical engineer to solve the issue. It's worked perfectly since. Our monthly electric bills have averaged $16 per month since installation!! Thanks guys for a job well done.

Working with Semper Solaris was a pleasure. Dennis walked us through all our options for the system. He made everything very understandable and let us know what to expect every step of the way. The rest of the Semper Solaris team also communicated very well and kept us updated on the project. UPDATE:  Since my review I was contacted by Don and Nate.  They worked hard to get the breakers replaced and to get the system running. Our system was turned on 10/29/18 and they have had someone come out to pressure wash the paint off the pavers and reseal them.  They also contacted a company to replace the boards on the gate.  Alex at Nergy has gotten approval to have our first 2 solar loan payments reimbursed and Nate gave us a gift card for our troubles.   The install process went poorly but they picked it up and got it taken care of like a company should so I have raised their rating to 3 stars.

These guys were great, from the original consultation to the installation and startup.  Everyone I interacted with was very responsive and straightforward.  They took care of all required paperwork and permits, and installation was done in one day.  Even months after installation, they are very quick to respond to questions.  My system is working great and I couldn't be happier with it.  In fact, I just recently ordered a system upgrade with a backup battery from them to get me though power outages.  I wouldn't even consider any other company.

No solar company should be going door to door. Do your research, then make some calls to solar companies. What they are doing is predatory.

We are updating our review, after posting previous 1* review. We were assigned a coordinator who got the system up and running pretty quickly and also compensated us for our losses.

Our frustration with Freedom Forever was that we couldn't get the companies full attention without posting a bad Yelp review!

We were very happy with the initial installation our troubles started after we decided to add additional panels!

Custom Home Services did a good job outlining how best for me to look at solar and if if was right for my house. They explained how APS works with solar etc. They helped me plan out how many panels I would need and where they would go and then handed me over to Harmon Electric who handled the install. Harmon got all the permits and inspections. It was turn key for me. The Harmon guys were very professional and did a great job. I had some delays and troubles getting connected to the monitoring portal, but actually minimal stuff. Overall I am quite satisfied. The install by Harmon looks neater and nicer than many I have seen too. Glad I jumped in!

This company is a DISGRACE and their customer service is HORRENDOUS...stay as far away as you can. My solar system had to be completely redone because of their incompetence(by a company that actually knew what they were doing)...don't believe a word they tell you!

The problem is not with the system, this is the second one we have had installed and they add months to the pool season. The problem is there customer service after the fact. Our new unit sprung a leak so I called to get someone out on Thursday morning. I was told someone would call me back. I didn't get s call back so I called in the afternoon. I was told they needed to look at schedules and they promised a call back before the end of the day, no call came.  No call on Friday and I was busy so I could not call them, and they have no weekend service so I left a message. No response to the message Monday morning so I called. The soonest they said they could get anyone out to look at my leaking new system was a week.  This is the second time I have had to call for a service issue and the second time with this type of response.

They put two holes in our ceiling and took them almost 2 months to fix the damage, when asked for some compensation for having to clean all our clothes for two days that were cover in insulation, and all the hassle they put us through they gave us $100 off the $32000 bill and wanted us to pay over their web site that charges 2.9 percent for using the card.
Management could not even call me, they had their billing department do all the calls. Oh they also told my wife that they feel we have been compensated because they fixed their damage they did.

Do not get Sunrun!  They are the worst!  They do not say what they say they are going to do!  Especially when you need a new roof that they prob caused!  I only had to replace half my roof go figure it was the side the solar was on!  V
