Best Electricians in Pennsylvania

Artisan Home Services was referred to us by a competitor with a 5 star Yelp rating.  He didn't have the capacity to assist us but said that the owner of Artisan, Mike, had a great reputation in our area.  I called the number he gave us and Mike answered immediately.  Our water heater had broken and was leaking.  Using Facetime, Mike helped us to safely turn off the water and gas.  He made arrangements for someone to be at our home first thing in the AM to swap it out.  Our plumber, Brett,  arrived ontime and already had the new water heater with him.  While Brett and other staff were here, we asked about a long list of other plumbing issues that needed some attention and they said that they could extend this service call and just handle all of them.  We had faucets, hose bibs, and the water heater all replaced or repaired.  Additionally, they extended a water line and moved a valve to a place that was far more accessible for seniors.  Everyone with whom we worked was polite and accomodating, respecting our request for social distancing.  We need only ask a question and it was handled.  We could not be more pleased with the service and the pricing.  Great company, great staff, and great owner !

MLEC handled a number of electrical repairs/upgrades following a home inspection prior to selling our home in Wayne. They were professional to work with and seemed to be priced fairly. The work quality exceeded expectations and I have since referred them to several friends in the area.

I would recommend him for electrical work. He did a good job with my 200amp service. Also fished some wires for me. He is on time and cleans up before leaving.

We have lived in the Radnor area for over 30 years.  Our home is over 100 years old and we seem always to need an electrician.  This company is hands down the best!!! Timely, organized, clean, professional!  And they use quality products and their work is very professional!  Easy to work with and very responsive!  The very best!

Three of my lights went out with the past storms all in different areas of the home.  Somewhat nervous about the source of the power outage, I contacted my kitchen designer for the name of an electrician since I trusted her opinion on contractors.  My requirements were somewhat strict...honest, personable, knows what they are doing, and fair pricing.   Without hesitating, she gave me Mark's name. She mentioned that it may take him a bit to come out since he was very busy.  Three days later he was at my home for the repair.   Even though Mark was at my home for a  short period of time the experience was excellent.   He identified the problem, fixed it rather quickly, very customer focused and showed me how to fix it myself if it happened again.  Exceptionally pleased and will recommend him to friends, family and definitely use him again.

I called Jonathan on a Friday afternoon after I had turned off my main power and then was unable to get it to turn back on.  He came out within the hour, diagnosed a bad main breaker and made the trip to get the replacement part.  After he returned, my power was back on in ten minutes.  All of this for what I believe is a reasonable price given the late timing and that it's a holiday weekend.  I would definitely call him again.

Fayiz is a great worker.  He came when he said he would and also spot on with his estimate on how much time it will take him to do the work.  Fayiz pretty much installed all the LED lighting at my home, from electric towel warmers to kitchen islands to vanity lights.   There was a slight disagreement at the very end on his charges, but he spoke to me and asked me what it would take to make me a happy customer.   We agreed and he complied.   I am impressed that he followed through on his word.  That one last effort on him to make everything right won me over because, believe me, most people just don't care after they've been paid.   If I have more electrical work to be done, I will call on him again.

Bad business. Had an appointment and never showed or called. Sat home for nothing. Could have used that time for something much better. And I still need the work done.

Small local business that has been around for a long, long time, which made me think they would be able to deal with the older houses that predominate in this area.   Mistake.  We had them come to fix a circuit that kept shorting out -- fairly important one, serving the lights and electrical outlets on the 2nd and 3rd floors.  The job requires two people, and it seems to be very difficult for McClelland to schedule two people for any project.  There were two occasions when they thought they had located the problem and fixed it, but the problem recurred.  Each time that happened there was a long wait (latest more than a week) for them to come back and try again.  And you would never know until they called up in the morning whether they were coming or not.  They also seemed to be more and more uncertain about what to do.   So after wasting a month, I'm trying another company.

They charge a $29 fee just to make an appointment.  They charged $90 by the half hour. I thought they had done a good job, until I discovered that, thanks to a review of my outdoor security camera, I was charged an extra hour and a half for loafing around.

This man does good work and he is very reasonable.   That is first and foremost and should be said.   HOWEVER, he is all over the place.   His ever changing policies, his ridiculous rants on Facebook about customers who aren't satified (which he usually ends up deleting ), his constant patting himself on the back, the confusing and ever changing communication is enough to make you NOT want to like him on social media any more or use his services.    His FB business page is like a users online diary, it is all over the place. Just stick to your job.    Stop posting dumb stuff constantly and let your work speak for itself.   You are destroying your reputation with this nonsense and your all over the place rules that seem to change daily.   Chill.out. my dude.  You are legit starting to look like something is extra sus.

This review is being given by someone who has had Blake do work in my home, recommended to others both personally and in the community,  and also had Blake screw me over not following up when contacted for an emergency after initially speaking to him.   So I have had it all.

Left in the middle of a job and never came back. Not only did he not finish the work but he also left all of his trash

They have another company called My Fixit Guy.  TOTAL rip off.  Called them for a handyman.  Needed shower caulked and small hand rail painted.  Charged me $69 Dispatch Fee that does not get credited if work is done.  For an unskilled handyman, they quoted $179 to caulk shower + $179 to paint rail.  My son did both in 1.5 hours.  Would not recommend them at all.

Didn't do work and were hard to deal with.  Work was ok till it wasn't.  Had to get another electrican to finish and fix their work.

Well, I guess I can officially give this place one star even though it deserves 0 stars. Called this place and ask them to come out for some electrical work. They said they would come out within the week.

A month later and 2 attempts to get them on the phone (both failed) they still are not here  and have yet to even responded... so I took my business elsewhere. $5,000 dollars in electrical work gone. Some people just dont like money or maybe they just dont know what they're doing over here. I guess Ill never know. Goodluck, McMenamins Electrical. The way you guys do business youre going to need it.
