I found Electrician Techs via Yelp and you never know what you're going to get.  Mo was fast, responsive and easy to work with.   He assigned Harris to my job - which included mounting and hiding TV wires and sound bar, changing outlets and light switches along with light fixtures.  He was able to trouble shoot innovative ways on the spot (moving a wire, changing switches).   He was on time, professional and easy to work with.  I will definitely use Harris from Electrician Techs again!

Half our power went out after a winter storm. I called Rich on a Sunday to request emergency service since I have twin babies and the space heater in our living room was nonfunctional as well as the fridge.  Rich came over himself within two hours; while the issue was with ConEd, he hooked up our fridge so it was running and placed a ticket with ConEd to fix the power issue.  He was extremely professional, friendly, and easy to work with.  In the past, I've spent hours waiting for HVAC people and plumbers who finally arrive way past the appointed time and require multiple calls on my part. Our building had called another electrician (at the same time I called Rich) who finally turned up about two hours after Rich left.  I can't overemphasize enough how difficult professionalism and reliability is to find in this city!  Rich took a lot of anxiety out of the situation and I was able to spend a pleasant day with my babies with minimal interruption.  Highly recommend.

Quick response time for a quote and he was available for an appointment the next day. Mickhael was knowledgeable and replaced four outlets and a ceiling light very quickly and neatly. Very satisfied with the service, highly recommend if you are looking for an electrician. Extra plus for masking, social distancing, and taking shoes off.

Look, Ralph saved the day.  If yelp hides this rating I will be very annoyed, because when you are in an emergency you need to know who is good, personable, fair, and who will solve your problem.

My staff cranked the space heaters last week during this Arctic period we are now experiencing here in the city.  All the lights went out.  Checked the breakers.  To no avail.  Had to cancel all of my patients.  And I had a news reporter coming the following Monday.  Panic set in.

Ralph came out on a Sunday.  The situation was complicated by the fact that the circuit breakers are in a spa downstairs... and I didn't realize that they weren't going to be open for another hour and a half when Ralph got there!

Ralph stayed the extra hour and half!  And he fixed the problem in 30 minutes.  Lights on.  Everything fine.  I threw my arms around him I was so relieved.

I cannot recommend Ralph and New York city electricians highly enough.  When you're in a jam, on a weekend, with a lot at stake, you need people who will be there for you in your time of need... like a doctor.  He stuck around, was flexible when the scheduling went awry, was super competent, and had everything fixed quickly.

Will be calling them again... though I hope not anytime soon!

Last Wednesday I called to make an appointment. Was told they were busy through Saturday with a school project but that they could do the following week. How about Tuesday? Yes, they said, no problem. Just call us the day before. So on Monday I called. Asked if I could make an appointment for Tuesday. Yes, that is fine, they said. Just text us with your name, address and requested time. I texted. And waited. And went to bed. And woke up on Tuesday. My text was unanswered. Just called now, mid-morning and it was like we had never spoken. Oh no, I was told, we don't take appointments for the afternoon. Huh??

John came to install an outlet in my basement only a day after contacting him.  he was fast and did a great job with no issues.

I was very favorably impressed with Mike Hitchingham. For starters, he actually responded to my request a quote inquiry on Yelp within a day! I responded to his message by calling him, and described the problem over the phone.  He asked some clarifying questions, and agreed that I was probably right (I suspected a 110V outlet was receiving 220V power). There were only 6 YELP reviews and I generally like to see more reviews before selecting a vendor, but his courteous, open manner and willingness to take a little time on the phone convinced me that he was the right guy to look at this. He stopped by within a day or two when he was on the UWS to check it out. He confirmed the problem in a brief visit, and said he'd return on Sunday to fix the problem. Then he actually returned on Sunday, and fixed the problem! His price was fair, and I was happy to pay his invoice. I've given his name and number to the guy across the hall, and to a friend who lives 6 blocks away. I found him to be straightforward, direct, honest, and willing to answer questions and educate me. He kept in touch re scheduling, and was responsive. I'd hire Mike again in a second!

The best service I ever received was on time and very patient with answering all my questions. neat and organized and very reasonable as far as cost goes.  I would highly recommend Conroy Electric to anyone that needs an electrician

Called to get a quote on replacing the circuit breaker. They couldn't fix it but then said it would be $120 additional just to check the outlets. And charged $160 service charge for nothing. STAY AWAY!!!!

The power to half my house suddenly went out and I had no idea what was going on. I went to yelp and submitted some estimate requests based on the information I had. Danik not only came right away(here in 15 minutes!), but also really checked out the problem before giving me a price on the fix. The guy who came did things I didn't even think were possible - unscrewed and opened a fuse box that had several layers of paint over it without damaging the wall at all - even got a light that hasn't worked in 4 years working! He tested my wiring, found the wire causing the problem, and promptly fixed it. He even tidied up my fuse box a bit so everything works better now overall. It was stress free and fast - another thing I didn't think was possible with electrical work. I'm happy and would definitely use them again.

Ilya came to install a light fixture was efficient and professional. Was easy to schedule and flexible with me on availability. Pricing was reasonable based on other quotes. Didn't have a ladder but I was able to obtain one, so no issues there. I would definitely recommend and use again.

Don installed a few outdoor flood lights for me along with an indoor chandelier.  He's efficient, fair with the pricing and would definitely recommend him for any electrical project.  He was quick to reply and scheduled quickly as well.

I needed a quick response for a water leak, and Eugene was super responsive! I had him come back a week later for some drywall patching and painting, and again he was excellent. He is a great handyman to have around!

Avi is a lifesaver. His team was originally only available the following week. But when I told him I needed the light fixed in the kitchen of my elderly parents, he fit me in after a cancellation within a few hours of talking to him. Very reasonably priced. Came with 2 men to handle the kitchen light and ceiling fan installation to save on time.  Arrived on time. Very pleasant and understanding on the phone.

Roman came to fix an electrical problem. After 3 visits, I had to call another electrician. He stopped returning my calls. I paid him the money to do the job and he left a bigger mess than was there to begin with. Several of the breakers needed to be changed (I have the evidence on my desk) and the outlet he fixed was not grounded. This caused us a lot of unnecessary headache with our internet providers, when it was a simple electrical issue.
