Warren was great.  Showed us license when he came in, explained what he was doing and fixed everything promptly. Moe and Warren gave us a time window.  Warren kept us posted on arrival time and even let us know when he hit traffic on his way.  Did excellent work.

Klod was extremely professional and went out of the way to get the job done. He arrived on time, was friendly and knew his job really well. He installed an electric vehicle charger and the home security system, both of which were done perfectly. Since then, I have contacted him for 3 other jobs and all of them have been completed flawlessly. Highly recommend!

I just had my lights installed by these guys and I couldn't be happier! I originally envisioned how I wanted the lights to be placed in my studio and these guys were able to bring that to life. There was a certain way I wanted my lights to be however with their expertise they advised me to think about going another rout about it. Trusting them and their expertise did not let me down, not one bit! Not only were these guys friendly, but they were professional and came 100% on time. 10/10 I would definitely recommend these guys. If you don't you're making a mistake. I was a little hesitant after reading the one star review about them being tardy , however I took the risk following my own gut instincts and was not let down! It just goes to show, you should take these reviews with a grain of salt!

Found Mickhael here on yelp. He replaced my light fixture with a new chandelier. He's efficient, got the job done. Reasonable price. He's respectful. Would recommend.

AMAZING JOB! - I had an apt booked for Friday (2 days from now)  to help with lighting and bulbs and transformers,  they called and said they had someone in the area who could come today - His name is Ralph and he ROCKS! - knew exactly what had to be done, gave great suggestions, and even went over and above to check circuit breakers as he noticed some burnt wires, turns out I need a bigger circuit box as mine is overloaded - I will be using New York City Electricians from now on.. Excellent job, kind and super helpful! THANK YOU RALPH - We really appreciate it!!

Do not go with Nair.  I am surprised at the past positive reviews given my negative experience.  
I hired him to simply diagnose and fix a faulty breaker to an Ac unit. He charged me a surprisingly exorbitant fee - $250+tax for  less than 30 minutes - up from the usual $175/hr as apparently it was a problem of a 'commercial' nature.  (He separately offered to 'diagnose' my ac problems as well for a low price of $500, and I refused.)
Which I suppose I might have been ok with had the problem been fixed as he claimed.  Unfortunately it was not and the reset on the breaker worked only sporadically.  Not only did the experience cost me his fee but also fees for additional visits from hvac technicians, as they were unable to later properly diagnose problems with the ac unit when the breaker was not functioning well.
I called him again, but he refused to rectify the issue or stand behind his work.
So 1 star for a bad combination - aggressive on charging fees, but failing to stand behind his work.

I cannot recommend John and JEM enough. My partner and I had some serious problems with a ceiling light- we had tried to replace it with a ceiling fan only to find out that our electric is from before 1960s. There were no ground wires and our previous electrician snapped a wire trying to figure out what was going on and then created a quick fix that shorted out when there were power surges across nyc due to a storm. We had no power in our kitchen and a possible fire hazard on our hands.

John was quick to respond, assess the damage in the pictures and give us a quote that was an extremely reasonable price! He'd worked with old buildings before so the job took no time at all, plus since we're renters he wrote up an invoice for the work as well as an assessment of future work that the light needs, so that we could charge it to our landlord and he could follow up with the rest of the work. So smooth and easy! And he was organized, on time and had every tool possible for the job. Seriously, if you need an electrician I don't think you can find a better one x

The electricians at G&R are the best of the best. Not only did they quote me less than other electricians, they were able to accommodate my busy schedule and even arrived early! Their work was neat, they cleaned up after themselves, and they didn't try to upsell me on other services. I also appreciated that they checked in a few days later to make sure I was happy with their work and had no further questions.
Women, unfortunately, have to worry about being bamboozled when it comes to services like this, but I really felt respected by Ganesh and not belittled for knowing nothing about electrical work. I definitely recommend them to others who need electrical services. Two thumbs up!

I am extremely satisfied with Mike's services! I chose Mike over other recommended electricians because he came to my home to see the project (relatively small - I needed an outlet for a washer/dryer in a closet) before giving me an estimate. Other electricians gave me much higher estimates over the phone, they understandably didn't want to trouble-shoot and take the time to figure out a solution. Mike is a meticulous worker, he planned the job out in advance, asked for more information and had me email pictures to minimize the chances of any surprises (or extra holes in my walls!!). In the end, the cost of the job was less than his estimate, which was already quite reasonable. He didn't charge me for any of his prep/planning time. He provided me with his certificate of insurance and license number. Communicating with Mike was easy, he arrived promptly at the appointed time and cleaned up after the project. I would strongly recommend Hitchingham Electric!

Just used Dan again and another job well done. Answered my message right away and was able to come fix the problem the very next day. He fixed my pool pump and tested and secured an outdoor outlet. My kids were thrilled that he was able to fix our issue promptly and that they were able to swim that same day. He is honest, professional, and overall a really nice guy. We will always use this company for our electrical projects.

Ezrick is a 5 star electrician and person. He goes above and beyond to do a great job. He also is easy to schedule with and gets a job done quickly. I highly recommend him.

We bought a 2 family home in Brooklyn and Cel Electric installed new electrical service for the entire house. Very happy with the service.. will definitely recommend and use them for all my future needs. Will rate them 10 out of 10.

Came to install 4 dimmer switches in my new apartment. Responded very quickly and even came the day before Thanksgiving to do it. They were very professional and worked quickly. Prices are comparable to others as well. Highly recommend.

I called Ilya on a Monday at 4pm and he was at the Greenpoint restaurant I own within an hour. I had a few issues: outlets that weren't working anymore but couldn't be fixed with the switch of a circuit breaker, fried electrical socket, and broken lighting fixtures. Ilya quickly fixed the outlets that weren't working. He didn't have the parts to fix the fried socket and lighingt fixture, but told me he could order the parts and do the job within a couple of days. He gave me a very fair price, also. He even told me how I could fix the lighting fixture myself to save money, because it turned out to be a pretty simple fix. I trusted him, and felt comfortable doing business with such a kind and professional young man. I will absolutely be calling Ilya back any time I need electrical work done at my business. Thanks!

Don did an amazing job installing several new circuits, light fixtures, and dimmer switches for our house.  Very professional, and prompt on responses and quotes.  Highly recommend DLP Electric and will use again.

Eugene was right on time and very professional.  He securely hung a medicine cabinet through marble tile in the bathroom (he came prepared with a drill bit for marble).  He also hung 3 ceiling fans securely.  We ran into an issue with 2 loose electrical boxes, but he ran to the hardware store and got the parts we needed.  With some thought, he was able to fix the issue without having to cut into the ceiling sheetrock and finish the job.  Highly recommend, and will be using him for future jobs.

Came quickly, diagnosed the problem (a potentially dangerous short in a ceiling light fixture), and fixed it without any major surprises in price or complexity. Would recommend.

Can't wait for Katie to come back and help me with more of my random apartment woes.
