Best Electricians in New York

I had a huge emergency this past Friday with by business and Jorge and his whole staff where so compassionate putting off everything for that day and staying well into midnight working to get my business up and running for the morning. I thank all of JMG Electric for taking the time from their very busy schedule. I would highly recommend them and they will always and will be my only electricians. And I'm making sure I take time out of my day to write reviews on every website possible like they took the time out of their day for me.

Anthony and his team were great in all aspects of the process. He is trustworthy and got the job done ahead of schedule. When issues happened during the process, Anthony was quick to have a solution and solve the problem.

Called them up to install a nema 14-50 outlet to charge an EV. Installation was very smooth and done promptly.  Nermin was very courteous and answered all my questions. He made sure the outlet worked 100 percent before leaving. Would def recommend for any electrical project!

This is an unusual event for me - stopping by Yelp to talk about a business that I want to recommend.

In the past I've been here mainly to complain about businesses that made me feel like I was nothing more than a big dollar sign in their eyes.

I'm here now to tell you that I spent a few weeks looking around for an electrician who wouldn't rip me off, 'cause let's face it, these guys don't have the best of reputations. I ended up getting three recommendations. The first two simply didn't show up (I think my neighborhood just isn't fancy enough:-) The last not only showed up but he arrived exactly on time. He spent about ten minutes investigating the problem, and then proceeded to make the repair which took about an hour. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it, and when it came time to settle up he gave me a price that stunned me. I figured that I'd be looking at something like $700 to !000. I even braced myself for the hit. The final bill was less than $200!

Was I impressed? Am I writing this review?-)

All I can say is if you want someone to recommend an electrician that has his integrity in the right place you can trust me when I say that this was one of the best experiences I have ever had when it comes to any service related to the home.

I came in with a small repair.  The guys were really nice and helped me out.  My wife has used them several times and they have always been helpful.  Great neighborhood lighting store.

Super quick and great service.  Vincent responded within a few minutes of getting the Yelp request, came early the next day for an estimate, which was very fair. Work was done the next business day - the work team was very professional and left the house in great shape when done.  Highly recommend.

This is the second time I've worked with Malfettone electric, both times for outlet installs (plus running cat5 cable the first time). They're great. Super responsive, prompt, easy to work with, extremely professional, nice, and most importantly, the jobs were perfectly executed, and quickly. They explained any options clearly and identified what the best practices are. I also really appreciated that they were willing to do smaller jobs - a lot of electricians and contractors aren't. So happy to have found them!

I had power lines down on my driveway this morning.  I called this company.  Some of their guys happened to be in the neighborhood.  They were to my house in 15 minutes!    They put the lines back up and then did a couple of other quick jobs while they were here (replaced a fixture and a switch).  I am so grateful for the work they did and how quick they did it!!

I called Mr. Wonderful's Electric today, frantic that I had a major electrical issue with the neutral wire on the pole, which PSEG eventually fix, but not before causing an electrical fire in my home on the timer switch that controls my outside lighting.

I am pretty handy I bought a replacement at Home Depot and went to install it, but it was not working.  I was concerned the wiring to the outside lights had burnt and needed re-wiring.

When I called, Paul answered and very politely said given the Covid-19 situation and social distancing, they would only come look at outside issues right now unless emergency.  

Given he couldn't come, I explained the situation and he explained I probably didn't hook up the switch wire to the switch leg.  I never heard of that and of course googled it until I understood it better.  Long story short, I re-attached the switch properly and it worked!

Paul didn't have to help me, but he did the right thing and helped me in the only way he could at the time.  That type of decision shows me what type of person and business Mr. Wonderful's Electric really is - one that really cares.  That is a rare attribute in today's world of contractors that try to rip you off anyway they can.  

What Paul will get in return from me is loyalty, in that I will call him again whenever I need electrician, refer him to all my friends and family and of course lastly, write a review like this so others know what a great business this is.  Thank you again Paul!

If you need electrical work done in Hoboken, look no further than this post. Mike was not only the most reasonable in terms of price, but his workmanship was off the charts. Couldnt be happier with his work.

Tommy and John were great. Extremely courteous, careful and clean. Handled a tricky chandelier with ease and professionalism. Highly recommended.

He replaced the water tank with a Chinese version of a piece, which ruined the tank. The breakers also weren't actually checked. I had to replace my water tank with.a new one and it my hot water still doesn't work. I blew so much money on a new tank and installation, only to find out it was a breaker problem, that wasn't initially checked and mended. No explanation after this experience. Horrible.
