I called Cactus Lock and Key because I needed to have my boyfriend's safe open. Sidenote: BF passed away and no one in the family knew the password to the safe. The company was able to open the safe! They took their time and was able to open it at a reasonable price! I appreciate their service and time during that difficult time. Oh btw, I sent a picture of the safe the day before to see if they were able to open it. They came the day after to work on it. It took about 1 1/2 hours to crack the code.

Victor was very professional and extremely responsive (responded to my texts on the weekend and gave me a call while I was at Home Depot picking out locks). His prices were roughly what others were quoting, but he is well-spoken, knowledgeable and friendly so I went with him. I would recommend him and will use him again in the future if needed.

Kevin came out to re-key three locks on a house we just bought. We didn't realize that a side gate for the house did not latch properly. Kevin spent an extra 45 minutes working to get the gate latch to work properly and did not charge us extra for the additional time, even though he had only expected to take 20 minutes for the job we asked him to do. He was courteous, professional, and did a superlative job. We highly recommend him to anyone.

"I can be there in 15 minutes" is exactly what you want to hear when you've just brought your friend home from the hospital and her lock is broken so she can't get into her own house. Alon was responsive, amiable, and so helpful. Despite a malfunctioning lock, he was able to get the door open without breaking the doorframe and replaced the lock competently and efficiently. We are so grateful and highly recommend his services.

Contacted them as I thought a deadbolt had broken. Explained the situation to Budget and they simply said I was using it incorrectly. Over the phone fix and no charge. Honest Business.

I sent several quotes and used Yelp for help with my truck and almost everyone that answered said my town was too far (even though they had my town as part of their area of service.  JJ answers my quote and although he was over 60 miles one way, he said he would come and help me.  He made several stops along the way for equipment and by the time he left, I was in my vehicle and keys made.  He was very professional and although I know he is in this business to make money, he did not flinch of driving 120 miles round trip to not only help someone, but he gained a future customer.  Thank you...

What can I say, Todd is great. I bought a vehicle (Hummer H3) that was sans Key Fobs.  I ordered some replacements as well as a factory key blank, but found out I couldn't program the fobs without the use of a special GM Scan Tool.  The dealer would have charged over $100 and took hours to get me out, but one call to Todd, and he got me set up within a matter of minutes.  Literally.  To boot, I was in a pinch and couldn't make it to the area he was in, so he agreed to meet me a few miles from my house the following day while he was on another job.  The whole thing cost me a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealer and I was in and out in 5 minutes. The guy is pretty funny and quick-witted as well, so that makes it fun.  I'll be back for any locksmith related work in the future.  5 Stars and thanks again Todd!  You are a Legend!

Great guy - came out on a Saturday within 30 minutes and opened the lock in about 5 minutes or so - dealing with poor lighting and maneuverability.  Not that I expect to lose my keys again - but if I do, this is the company I'll be calling

I love to support local, family businesses and the LOCK Shop was excellent.  We just moved to a new home and wanted to replace the locks. Steve came out, assessed the job and replaced the locks.  He saw that our front door wasn't closing properly and spoke to us about the issue. He quickly diagnosed the issue, had the parts and made the fix.  Completely happy with the service from The LOCK Shop!

The locksmith was hired to install new door locks and deadlocks on the house's exterior doors. Additionally, the locksmith was also hired to re-kay all new door locks & deadbolts to be the same key. This service was contracted due to the fact that I purchased a new house and wanted to change out all exterior locks.
Total number of doors to receive new locks = 5
Total number of keys requested to be keyed alike = 6
The locksmith arrived and started his work. Upon completion of the above-stated scope of work, the locksmith stated he had checked all doors, locks, and keys. The locksmith handed me a set of six keys and asked that I also check the doors/locks and keys to ensure they worked.
I walked the house and tested 2-3 random keys in each lock, turning each key to engage the lock and ensuring they turned freely and locked as they should.
The locksmith took my credit, charged me for the service, then left. My family and I then went out to lunch and ran a couple of errands. Upon our return, we unlocked the security front door and attempted to unlock the main front door deadbolt. The lock would not move or operate.
I went and tried the side door that had a new lock installed, and the keys unlocked the deadbolt and doorknob locks - however - there is a security door frame lock installed on the other side of this door, so I was not able to open the door.
I promptly called the locksmith back and explained to him that the front door deadbolt was not functioning and that my family and I were locked outside (in Arizona heat with a five-year-old and eight old and dogs kenneled inside the house). The locksmith immediately began arguing with me that the fault was mine for not checking every key in every lock. I explained to the locksmith that regardless of not checking every single key in every lock (I checked 2-3 random keys in every lock), the defect was most definitely caused by the installation process and not caused by a double-check process. The locksmith also admitted that he was responsible for checking every key in every lock, which did not happen.
The locksmith stated that he would see if there was someone he could get out to the house to drill out our brand new lock and let us in. I received a call from another locksmith company who *Ace Locksmith had, called to help me. This new locksmith stated it would cost me $200 - $300 for him to make an emergency call and perform a drill out of my lock. So *Ace Locksmith's support and resolution of their failed installation was to charge their customer to fix their mistake. I declined the service and called the original locksmith back.
When I called *Ace Locksmith back, I was told again that the issue was my fault and that there was nothing he could do for me. I requested that the original locksmith come to my house to let my family and me in and fix his mistake - which he declined to do. I then asked that the original locksmith refund me 100% of the charges for the services as my only resort left was to break into my house. The cost of repairing the broken window or door that I would need to break to get in would cost more than the total of the original botched job that the locksmith had done. He also declined to refund me the total costs.
I ended up having to break into my house, damaging my door frame, so I could finally let my children inside.
This locksmith performs poor quality installations and does not stand behind their work as a craftsman. The company's customer service is horrible. I now have keys that I paid for that do not open my front door and a broken side door frame.

Dean came as planned and completed tasked professionally and at the agreed about price. I would use Kwikkeys again for my locksmith needs.
