in the interests of full disclosure, TIM WHEYLAND is my friend. the irony of that is that knowing TIM makes a good review from me more reliable not less. i'm a serious butt head and would not write something praising his company if i didn't know every word was true. if i was disappointed in his work, i would probably not write a review at all but would certainly give him grief until forever -- maybe longer.

my dad used to say that you can tell who your friends are 'cause they're the ones that stab you in the front. in my case (since i seriously took my father's words to heart) that usually means stabbing repeatedly.

fortunately, TIM did a bang up job and so neither of us had to go thru that.

the wife and i (okay, mostly the wife) contacted WHEYLAND ELECTRIC to take out a hideous dining room chandelier we inherited when we bought the place. the plan was to replace that with can lighting and a dimmer switch.

TIM showed up as promised and did great work in a timely manner. everything as promised. great job. highly recommended.

my dad used to joke that when the PEARLY GATES broke down it took forever to get them fixed 'cause PETER had to go to HELL to find a contractor.  well, if the problem's in some far, far distant future when TIM WHEYLAND's shuffled off his mortal coil, at least PETER wouldn't have to look so far to find a great electrician.

Mike and his apprentice came and fixed some GFI outlet issues for me and I really appreciated the honesty, hard work and quick response.  I had him meet me at our home on my lunch break during the work week.  When he came he quickly said that he may be able to take care of the problem ASAP so that I could go back to work without missing a beat.  Sure enough within 20 minutes the problem was fixed and I was able to not be late upon returning to work.  I couldn't be happier with his services.  In addition his rate was very reasonable and he and his apprentice were very courteous and professional.  Highly recommended

Contacted Beau for a small annoying woman electrical problem/puzzle. Was told he could be there between 8-10 four days after I called, very acceptable. His office called to confirm the appointment the night before. He was there at 8:15, well within the window, found the problem and fixed the problem. No extra charges, fair price. Will definitely recommend Redhawk electric.

Shaun was very helpful in getting all of my computers hard wired VIA ethernet.  I have used his services every time that I have moved offices.  My VOIP phone requires to be hardwired into the wall and I cannot just run off WIFI.  So this service is super valuable to me and he has always done a great job setting it up when I needed it.

Had Steve and his team install recessed lights in our living room on a Sunday morning. They were absolutely fantastic! They were at our place at the scheduled time (8 am) and done within 2 hours, including patching any and all holes made for the install.

The lights look great, the patching was very professional, and they kept the place clean and clear of debris.

I will absolutely use their services again!

Adam and his team are awesome!  My new TV was delivered today and they moved one and installed it in my Gym area and then installed the new one in the living room.  

WOW!  They did it in less than 1 hour and added an outlet since they are C11 (I think that's the right one) certified.

I would recommend them to anyone needing a professional and quick installation.

Wow, these guys are good! I bought what is probably the only ceiling fan Trading Post doesn't carry but I went to Brian at Armes Electric to have it installed anyway. He answered all of my questions and set an appointment. Marcus and Steven showed up right on time with a very positive, friendly attitude. They had to assemble my fan first. No problem. Then, because my condo has no attic and no electricity above the light switches, they had to cut 6 small (4X 2) holes in the wall and ceiling to wire the fan. Again, after putting up protective tarps and plastic sheeting, no problem. Then they cleaned up and were done in 2 hours, total. Armes Electric's ceiling fan installation price sheet shows $350.00 for difficult jobs. I expected to pay much more because everything about this installation (12' ceiling, unfamiliar brand of fan, needed wiring up the wall and over to the peak) was difficult. They charged me $365.00 and referred me to a master drywall repairman. I was/am delighted.

I will use Armes for everything electric in my home and I recommend them to everyone very highly.

Just moved to a condo in Rancho Penasquitos.  The plugs here were loose in all the rooms.  The landlord called Roberts Electric.  They came out and  installed 15 new plug outlets, and 1 GFI.  Checked all the breakers.  They arrived on time, were very nice, and had everything done in no time at all. I am new to San Diego, and would recommend them highly. I would recommend them highly.   Thanks again !!

My Main circuit breaker broke on a Sunday afternoon. My husband was at work and I couldn't believe that out of all of our friends none of them are electricians! I called around for about an hour trying to find somebody who wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg to replace the $20 part. My husband was at work and I knew my chances of getting ripped off were pretty high. My husband called me and told me he found a guy that wants me to call him because he could walk me through fixing it. I told my husband that I already knew how to flip a breaker switch. He said he already told that to the electrician and that he wanted me to call him anyway.
I reluctantly called the number my husband gave me and sure enough the gentleman on the other line walked me through fixing the problem myself at no charge! He knew my husband was not at home and could have easily made a quick $200! I am so grateful for this man's honesty and will definitely be calling Pacific Electric for all of my electrical needs!

I have used Chad from Arendt Electric for many of my home projects, he is clean, professional, and a wonderful electrician to work with.  Highly recommended.

Farhad helped us with two drywall repairs and troubleshooting a lighting fixture. He was prompt. He did clean work. The price was fair. I would definitely recommend.

tried to install a ceiling fan...sparks flew everywhere. called Scott and he came out fifteen minutes later and now we have a working fan :D he also made suggestions to make our house safer since the previous homeowner did all the electrical themselves and it's not the safest way. will be using again to come get it all checked out! super awesome service.

Chris and his team have performed two large electrical jobs for me and both were an excellent experience. Chris is professional, treats your home like it is his and provides helpful experienced ideas that we really appreciate. Job 1) was for our outdoor patio to install 8 lights, 2 electrical heaters and a ceiling fan. The biggest technical problem was figuring out how to get enough power from the home to the patio. I had 5 bids, but Chris was the only one with a cost effective plan and his price was also slightly better than the others. Job 2) was to install 44 cam lights with dimmers throughout our home and remove the old lighting systems. This task was difficult because a large portion of the work had to be done in the attic by crawling around to the different locations. Our original plan was to install 37 cam lights, however once we had them installed, we realized there were still some dark spots so we installed 8 more and all of them look beautiful. Our home is completely different now with the old lights removed and now have numerous dimmers to adjust the lighting for the time of day and for entertainment. If you need a great electrician that lays out his work, pays attention to detail and respects your home, then look no further and use Chris from Energy Electric.

JaCo Electric are fantastic!  It was easy to make the appointment for him to come give us an estimate - and we were pleasantly shocked when he sent it to us about 2 minutes after he left - in a super organized, easy to understand, itemized price list.  We had them install several light fixtures, move existing wall sconces, and install our Ring doorbell.  
His team was everything you would hope for: punctual, extremely efficient, meticulous, ubobstrusive, left every work area very clean, and were very patient anytime we had any hesitation or questions.  On top of all that, they are all just very friendly, likeable people!  
Finally, when the work is done, he sticks to the estimate.  No surprises.

I've used Nick and his crew on 4 separate occasions over the last 8 years.  Anything from ceiling fans to installing a new conduit for my jacuzzi, outlets in the garage and an entire new electrical box.   They are consummate professionals and always are friendly, use their time efficiently and leave a clean area when the work is completed.  

Often with professional services, I'm generally let down by the quality of work, professionalism or responsiveness.   Seems to come with the territory with contractors in their line of business.  That's NEVER the case with Volt Electric.  Rates are reasonably too, imo.

I'd highly recommend! A+

Nathan came out and installed an outlet for a car charger. He was on time, did a walk around my property before deciding what materials to use, and made sure he had all the information from me before absolutely crushing the work.

Nathan was extremely helpful and informative before he showed up on site for install, setting my expectations, and answering all my questions.

Mister Electric's workmanship and knowledge are outstanding.  He installed 2 security lights for us.  One of them was very challenging - it required installing a light in a area where there was no power.  Vilmos ran the power from inside the house and brought it to the security light area several feet away.  His craftsmanship was remarkable.  He ran the wire through a PVC conduit that matched the color of the house so that the wiring would not be noticeable to passerbys.  I don't know of another electrician who could have done the job as professionally or artfully.  We feel very fortunate that we learned of Vilmos through a neighbor for whom he installed a ceiling fan. I recommend Mr. Electric to anyone who values knowledge and craftsmanship in their electrical projects.  I would give him 6 stars if that was available.

Raceway Electric has my highest recommendation. Setting the appointment was friendly and easy - though they *do* book a week or two out. Sam the electrician arrived on time to install an external (weatherproof) power outlet and quickly completed the task - less than 45 minutes on-site. Their trucks are clean and well-stocked w/ parts and I couldn't be more delighted with the service. Raceway will be my first call the next time I need ANY electrical work done fast, well, and priced fairly!

Mark - arrived quickly after responding to my call. He was able diagnose the issue and replace the electrical breakers within a couple of hours. Power was restored. He a has 30 day warranty.
