I had been looking for a good electrician for several months, and had actually gotten three quotes already, when I blew a circuit, and got very nervous about my old FPE panel with Stablok breakers (google it and you'll see what I mean)... I didn't have an awesome feeling about any of the electricians I had interacted with, and they weren't available for at least 2 weeks anyway, so I thought I would try leaving a message for PJ Erwin. One electrician came out to my house and never even got back with a quote.

Pete called me back on the weekend and the first thing he said was not to worry about my situation. He immediately put me at ease. He was available to come take a look at my project on the following Monday. He arrived when he said he would. I was meeting him at my house, and when I got there, he already had the panel open, assessing the situation. I could immediately sense his positive attitude, and he again really put me at ease. He was patient while I showed him all the items I was concerned with. He was prompt with writing the quote, and was able to fit my project in about a weeks' time.

Pete, Christian, and Jaime arrived on time and finished on time. I was even able to add a couple of items to the scope of my work, and they were able to accommodate. Each day when I came home, they had cleaned up after their work, and left me with a functioning house. I was very lucky that they didn't have to tear open my walls, and they left minimal amounts of wall patching to do. Everyone was very conscientious. Pete is an excellent communicator, which I totally appreciate! I never had to call him to ask what was going on with inspections, etc... he told me what to expect, and followed up on everything 100%.

Cost-wise, PJ Erwin was very fair. They are not the cheapest, and not the most expensive. I paid pretty much what I expected to pay, but I think their professional attitude and pride in workmanship puts them in a league above the rest, making PJ Erwin an exceptional value.

In the weeks since the work was completed, I feel much safer and happier in my house. Thanks, Pete, Christian, and Jaime! :)

I am so impressed with H5 Electric.  From the moment I dealt with Brandy on the phone to the moment the very competent workers arrived at my house only hours later, everything was transparent and professional.

The power stopped working last night on one of our circuits so we had no light in 3 rooms and a hallway.  Flipping the breaker had no effect.  I had no idea whether it was going to be a big job or small job.  Brandy was able to get one of their teams to come to my house and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it within a half hour.  

I am grateful to H5 Electric for doing things the way things are almost never done anymore.  They will certainly get my repeat business!

Bryan is a rarity. Being extremely generous with his time, he patiently educated me about my potential issue and actually enabled me to resolve it myself. He clearly knows his stuff and would be a great find for anyone needing electrical help. Highly recommend.

I recently did a full remodel of my house in San Jose.    Gustavo, the owner of this business came on site, provided us with an estimate.    My wife made a lot of changes during the work, which they gladly took on.   Modified the estimate slightly and got the work done VERY nicely

Two power outlets in my house short circuited and I had no idea how to fix it. I've never called an electrician before so I hopped on Yelp to look for a local electrician. Ideal Electric was one of the top companies in the search and I decided to call them because of all their positive reviews. I gave them a call and they responded within 30min which I appreciated. I spoke to Hugo and explained to him what was going on. He was very honest about what the issue might be and wanted me to test out a few things before they came out for the job. His troubleshooting solved my issue and I didn't have to spend $$$ on something minor. Love the honesty and will definitely contact them again if I need an electrician!

Samuel and team are fantastic. Great workmanship, great communication, super fair pricing, and an X factor that you won't find elsewhere, which is Samuel is just a great collaborator/brainstormer/project planner. I had this really messy, complicated situation with an old house renovation in SF that had been partially finished in the 1940s-1960s. Instead of removing the original, incomplete work, we decided to finish it, but that created a lot of complication with installing full modern electric up to code (outlets plus light fixtures) in 2 rooms in this tight basement space, around structural beams, through walls and ceilings constructed with various materials over the years, removing old cloth wiring, etc. As a result, we couldn't find any electrician to take it on in 18 months of looking until we lucked out and found Samuel, and then it was completed in 2 days! With perfect results and at a great price. This project wasn't easy, it required creativity and an appetite for taking on a challenge, and Samuel delivered big time. We are SO grateful to have this work finally done so we can move forward, and Samuel will definitely be our go-to electrician from now on... my only worry is he will become too busy because someone this good is very hard to find!

I negotiated a contract with Solinsky to repair a parking lot light fixture for my 65 unit condo association. After 10 weeks of doing nothing, footdragging and lame excuses I gave them one more week to execute the work. When that did not happen I fired them. Don't waste your time.

Ted is a total rockstar handyman; does great work, fair prices, and a great communicator. Great attention to detail! A total gem.

All outlets in my family room went out on a Friday afternoon and facing NO TV for a Friday night with the family... OMG, panic time!! called several electrician after 4pm, no one would come over or willing to work over the weekend!
Finally found Habib on Yelp and was skeptical about all the 5 star review
but called him after desperation.  
No he was already booked for Friday But told me he can come over late Saturday afternoon and will call me ahead of time before he come over!  I said sure, come over sat afternoon, I do anything to get the TV fixed!
Sat afternoon, Habib called and told me he will be here between 5-6pm just like what he told me yesterday.  Very professional attitude. He came over to my house started investigated the problem.  It was not an easy task! I was impressed with his methods of diagnostic and patience! He had to open up all the outlet and switches in the house along with testing the circuit breakers. It was like watching live CSI searching for clues and trying to find that burned wire!  After almost 2 hours I sense some frustration on Habib but he said let me try one more thing.  Habib finally found the circuit breaker and narrowed it down to the faulty outlet and found the burned wire that was causing the short!!!! Hurray!
I thought for sure he was going to charge me more money but he only asked for what he quoted me and it was super reasonable for a Sat job.
I would use Habib again any time and highly recommend Habib as he is professional, smart and honest!  This has been one of the rare and pleasant experience I had working with a contractor!!

We've knows Andrei for several years. He's done two major projects at our house as well as several small fixes. He's responsive, reliable, and charges a fair price. I don't know what more you could ask for. He does great work every time. Highly recommend!

Tam helped me fix a few issues for my electrical inspection on a kitchen remodel. He is honest and came through for me as needed. Recommend that you give him a try and you will find out that his price and work is better than other people listed.

We went down there recently about 15 minutes to closing time, and the person we met was very helpful in discussing our needs, and in explaining the different kinds of recessed lighting that we are looking into. They have a good sized showroom and a zillion kinds of recessed lighting trims on display.

Amazingly, they were in no rush to kick us out even 20 minutes past closing time.  And no, we weren't even buying anything yet.  High rollers we are not, but we will be back..  

Parking?  Plenty of off-street parking in their HUGE facility.  No need to park on the street.

Ongoro and Sons is our go-to company for plumbing and HVAC work. We recently had Jose and Tyler install our AC system (6/7) and they did a great job: clean, courteous, helpful, thorough. They arrived on time and finished in a timely manner. They were great about wearing their masks as well, which I really appreciated. Very happy and thrilled with the quality of the product and service. Thanks!

We used Greenforce Outdoor Light and definitely will use them again this year. Communicating is very easy--we got connected with a sales person quickly and worked out how we wanted to decorate. Costs were very clear on the proposal. The team who came to put up the lights came despite the rain and did a very nice job. Then with an appointment, they came down to take down the lights and we didn't need to be here. And they store them until next year. So easy! and saved us so much time You can always make changes the following year as well. You only pay for labor in the subsequent years. I do wish the price increase on the labor from last year to this year was less, but that is my only suggestion.

I needed two houses' worth of doorbells and door releases fixed and found Tim by Yelp'ing. Thanks, reviewers. He was very attentive and  patient over the phone. He sent Neil out, who is equally patient and kind. It's been a great experience all around. They were even willing to work with our landlord's budget. Thanks Tim and Neil!
