Super team and they are skilled, smart and do it right the first time. Not to mention reasonably priced and nice!

So originally we gave Rotunda Electric 5 stars because of the excellent technician, Joel that did the work. Two days later, we still have not received our invoice, which we've asked for a few times and we need to validate that the work was completed, AND we have not had any follow up phone call asking if we are pleased with the service.

My second time using Mr. Electric. First time was a few years ago and they replaced some security lights. This time I had a heavy light fixture come loose from the ceiling and I wanted a small ceiling fan installed. No issues setting the appointment, Tech arrived on time. The office did say they would send a picture of the tech, but I never received that.
I was told the ceiling fan could not be installed without reinforcing the joists in the attic, since the area in the attic is hard to access I chose forgo that and planned on purchasing a light fixture instead. He took down the old light and reattached the electrical box and I was only charged for the visit. No issues. Tech was pleasant. I thought the price to install the ceiling fan was a bit excessive, so it was probably a blessing anyway.
Fast forward a couple weeks when my purchased light arrives and I find I cannot install the light because one of the screws that will hold my next fixture has not been removed but cut off at the bracket. I partially blame myself for not double checking the work but the room was dark and it was late in the evening and I do not know if I would have noticed it anyway.
I am not sure if I would use them again, One good experience, one so-so.

I am a resident at The Madison Apartments in Charlotte. Our apartment complex is in the process of getting renovated (yay!... I thought)
A notice was given to us after 8pm Monday 7/23, which I saw on our door Tuesday morning (7/24) telling us renovations were starting that day. This is extremely last minute notice especially with the list of things we should do to prepare properly. The most tedious being empty all cabinets, but it doesn't specify which units are getting new cabinets so it's hard to know if we should or shouldn't empty everything. If we don't, we could possibly be fined... or if we do and we're not getting new cabinets, it's a waste of my time. I aired on the side of caution and emptied all of my cabinets last Tuesday. Renovations have yet to start, so I'm living with my entire kitchen on the floor. As you can imagine, this is very inconvenient.
Then we received another notice on Monday 7/30 but it says: date noticed 7/27. It also says renovations will be starting Monday 8/30 now... which doesn't exist. Maybe the notice meant that day.. Monday 7/30? Regardless, all of this information is misleading and incorrect. I've lived with my kitchen on the floor for 2 weeks now, going on 3.
We got ANOTHER notice Wednesday 8/1 saying now renovations are pushed back over ANOTHER WEEK. My entire kitchen has been on my floor for 2 weeks making it very inconvenient to cook or do anything.
Now I just came home from vacation and it looks like someone installed some cool backsplash behind the oven... but there is white residue all in the kitchen sink. I was just washing dishes and tried to use our garbage disposal... and it's clogged/doesn't work! I know it wasn't us because we haven't been home and it was clean before we left. When we walked in today (8/5) it smelled like gas... our gas stove was ON low. The knobs are super easy to press when you bump into them... which I'm assuming whoever installed the backsplash must have done since they had to move the stove, then push it back into place. So our gas has been on for at least 2 days while we've been out of town. I have tried to email twice and gotten no response. I am 100% disappointed with this company and the inconvenience it has added to our apartment for the past 2 weeks... and still going. The communication, cleanliness, and consideration for tenants is terrible.
*8/6 update: They just started painting my cabinets inside and the doors to all the cabinets are laying in the grass out front. It started raining and the contractors left them out in the rain and are sitting in their truck

Beware of the 99.00 fee that they try to charge you once your appt. is over....whether you use them or not......Made my appt. for a possible whole home surge protector...after a longer then needed appt. and beating around the bush answer...plus an astronomical estimate in the thousands...we decided no and were told there would be a fee of 99.00...I was NEVER told of this fee when I made my appt. or I would NOT have used them, thankfully after this was stated, the fee was waived. Just be careful and ask before they come to your home. Andrea R.

Allan was friendly and seemed to understand my project. He was unable to make our first meeting but contacted me to let me know that he needed to reschedule and arrived in the time frame we had agreed upon. He smelled a bit smokey/earthy but he wasn't in the house very long and I don't care what he does on his own time.
He provided a rough estimate for the project and then notified me that his estimates aren't free and that I would need to pay $85 for the 10 minutes he had spent. I mentioned that, in the future, he may want to tell people that there is a charge for the estimate before coming out. I felt a little scammed but I dismissed it as an oversight and provided him with my bank card. He told me he wasn't able to take cards and that I would need to use CashApp to pay him the $85. I told him I don't have CashApp and he would need to have his office call me and I would provide them with the details so he could get his estimation fee.
At this point, the conversation broke down. He felt that trying to intimidate me by getting right up in my face was a good first choice. It wasn't particularly intimidating, but it was highly unprofessional. He kept trying to hint that I would have real problems if I didn't immediately leave my house (I'm a 24/7 caregiver for my mother with dementia and would never just leave with a stranger in the house) to get him money out of the ATM and then refused to leave without payment. He took my picture and told me he was going to dox me on blast on FB before I had to tell him that if he didn't leave the premises I would call the police.
I know starting a business is hard, particularly when you are so young. Telling people that estimates aren't free is a required first step. Also, here is a link to a free card reader I recommend you order so the next time you get a chance to get paid you have the proper equipment to do business: squareup.com/us/en/hardw…
I hope the next time I call on you for a project you've got things a bit more figured out.
