Jose was responsive, very professional and arrived within the timeframe promised for an urgent plumbing need on a Sunday afternoon. He took care of the issue which was a clogged main line accessed through the clean-out and gave us some suggestions to repair / replace a custom toilet that had a broken part. We'll be contacting him again for our future plumbing needs and for annual maintenance to remove roots from our main plumbing line. He priced the repairs reasonably, didn't charge us extra for checking our piping with a camera and didn't try to upsell us for something we didn't need. A+ for excellent service and reliability. Keep doing what you're doing!

This is a great company I would highly recommend them. They came out when they said they were going to be there. They finished the job on time and everything works great! It was a pleasure having very friendly service. :)

I asked John to give me an estimate for section of main line replacement. The price was fair. It took one day to  finish the job. John's Plumbing did a great job. 
I will call them again if I have other plumbing issues.

He was professional, friendly and informative. He fixed our garbage disposal issue all in one morning. He even showed us how we can prevent future issues.

I will be calling on him again for my plumbing needs. In fact, as far as I'm concerned, he's our new plumber now.

Ray is a really nice, laid back guy who knows his stuff. The gas company said we had a leak and shut off our gas, and he made time to get it found and fixed so we could go on with our lives. I trust him and I'd recommend him to anyone.

This was my first experience with Shellback and not my last.  We had a shower, toilet back up issue and needed help asap. I called Shellback and Eddie answered the phone.  He was so helpful and said he could have someone come out that same day. Thank goodness because we couldn't wait for the next day. Steve came and he was very polite and didn't rush through his job and was able to get us functioning through the evening.  He said there was a possible blockage and needed a camera to figure out the issue. He scheduled someone to return the following morning. Gary came out (didn't realize he was the owner until I wrote this) and he was also super nice. He was patient with me and showed me what he saw via his camera.  He answered all my questions and explained what future repairs would be.  He was not pushy and left us to make that decision. I asked for a estimate and he emailed me all the documents in minutes. What a positive experience with this company. I'm telling my friends about them. They excelled in customer service! Andy, my original review wasn't very long. Even in reply you are confused. What does Alhambra have to do with anything? My house is in East LA. You are in El Monte. I didn't search in your area, I searched in mine. Yelp is showing your business to people in areas you don't want to go to. That is something you should probably have Yelp fix.

On another note, I have had service workers from Culver City, the Valley and Orange County. I don't see why my house would be any different from a house in your neighborhood. East Los Angeles is governed by Los Angeles County, where you must hold a license anyways since its your county too. Your choosiness has a rotten smell of discrimination to it. And I think it wreaks.

Using someone's financial vulnerability to get back at them for a bad review, worse than poor tact, worse than poor self control, what a neanderthal thing to do. East LA is 18 minutes away. It takes 18 minutes to have a jog. And opposite direction of what? Utah? My bungalow is in the direction of, you know like Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Hollywood, Beverly Hills instead of you know, your direction towards Utah, Upland, Redlands.

The reason you are giving for choosing to ignore my neighborhood is a lie. It isn't too far. I think the real reason is that East LA is majority hispanic, working class, lower income and that is why you do not come here even though it is 19 minutes away. You think some money is more worthy than other money. Its called redlining.

Luigi was great to work with. He was very responsive and able to get to my property on short notice to fix some plumbing issues under my house. He completed the job in a timely manner and at a very fair price. I'll continue to use and recommend Luigi for all of my plumbing needs.

Tomas did an excellent job fixing a water damaged wall and installing a new sink and toilet. He works hard and takes his time to do the job right. Will definitely use him again in the future.

If i could i put a minus 5 stars, i started using it a while back and they were more friendly and affordable, no they have grow and their service is all about money, even thou i have used them more than 2 times, they keep on increasing their prices.
Simply STAY AWAY from this people.

Great service. I had a leaky faucet, the quote was reasonable. The work was top-notch (coming from an architect) and they charged the agreed amount. Pretty much a perfect outcome.

Ron returned my call promptly. He sent out Josh for leak detection.  We already knew the leak is somewhere between the city main shut off and the house's main shutoff. The problem is the leak is somewhere underneath very thick concrete or the shrubs.  
Josh came and used his leak detection equipment trying to locate the leak. After about 45 minutes he was pretty certain where the leak was deep under the concrete. So I have to contact my handyman to come next day to expose the concrete to confirm the leak. Sure enough after digging deep into the ground my handyman found the leak.
Josh even offer to come the following day to talk to my handyman before he started digging. Very professional level of service.

A+ for DeVinney Plumbing and Don and Sammy! After a lot of research, we contacted DeVinney to fix a gas line in our backyard that had deteriorated from nearby irrigation and been shut off. Don arrived on time with Sammy and they got right to work looking at our water and gas line architecture. They then executed a beautiful pipe swap and the repair was done. Don is a real gem among plumbers because he was a construction plumber for decades. He knows about everything plumbing and gas line related. He and I talked about everything from tankless hot water heaters (he took the time to look ours over thoroughly and thoughtfully) to repiping. He is really knowledgeable and capable and  pleasant and unrushed in execution. Highly recommend him and DeVinney!

I've used Sunset West a couple times, but that was when Jim, the owner was out doing the calls.  Last week Sunset West no-showed an appointment.  They had given me a two-hour window, and when it was past the window time period, I called them, but no one picked up.  I left a message, and now, a week later, they have still not called me.  I've called a few times since, but no one picks up.  I think it is possible that 1) they have gone out of business? 2) Jim, the owner sold the business?  So odd to just leave a repeat-client high and dry, no call, no communication - no care.  I keep thinking that their phone message will be changed to let people know that they have a family emergency or something has happened, but the message doesn't change.  I thought I had experienced it all with contractors, but I guess their world will continue to surprise me.

Pitman Plumbing has saved us on numerous occasions - most recently this past week when a major plumbing backup turned our bathrooms into a disaster area.  Dale showed up after 9:00 PM and spent about two hours restoring our plumbing inside and outside of the house.  They've done it before too with other pipe issues we've had and we also used them to install a new hot water heater.  We've had all three of the guys here Dale and his sons Greg and Daniel and all have been super friendly, professional and above all top-notch plumbers.  We like their old-school, customer comes first attitude too and that's why we've given them a top rating here and also to our neighborhood group.

We had an emergency sewage stoppage and A-1 Apex responded to our call immediately. They had to replace most of our (very old) sewer drains, a huge job, but they did it within two days and for a very reasonable cost. The workers were friendly and thorough and cleaned everything up afterward. I cannot praise them highly enough. I will use them from here on in for any plumbing problems that may arise.
