This place is great - my first call if I ever have a plumbing issue!  

Even if they are unavailable immediately, they are helpful over the phone.  Recently, they guided me through a project I was doing myself.  When I thought I was over my head, they gave me a simple tip to finish my project.

Absolutely awful experience with Palisades plumbing. The guy Miguel came in and told me the problem was an old toilet (its less than 10 years old), snaked it and pulled out some fibers that he said on the invoice was a towel stuck in the toilet. Charged me 110 and the problem was not resolved. I called two days later, they sent someone else who fixed the problem and charged an additional 110!!!!! The gal at collections was so rude with her English accent and an inability for customer Service!!! WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!

On September 21st, I set an appointment for John to come fix my toilet. He was very friendly and prompt. He fixed my toilet. I paid him $70 and he left. The next day, the toilet was leaking from the same spot that he had attempted to fix the day before. I called them up and politely explained the situation (John didn't answer, it sounded like an older man). I basically said, Hey, no harm, no foul, I'm not mad, but the thing that I hired John to come fix hasn't been fixed, can he please come back and finish the job?

The man on the phone argued with me, telling me it had already been fixed (I guess he thought I was blind and/or messing with him). I said, I don't know what to tell you sir, I'm kneeling down here on the bathroom floor and it's continuing to leak from the exact spot I hired John to fix twenty four hours ago. The man said, John's not here, I'll have him call you back.

That was over a month ago. I called Plumbing Bros and they came and fixed it immediately.

So if you feel like giving a dude $70, having him NOT fix your toilet, and then having his phone guy argue and tell you that you're wrong, DEFINITELY call John!

OR, just give me the $70. I'll at least set us up a bar tab at the Village Tavern.

John, if you're reading this, feel free to respond. I'd love to hear it. (Seriously, I've been waiting over a month!).

The plumber communicated with me early on via text and gave me a competitive quote via a photo that I showed him of my leaking copper pipe. This cuts down immensely in the time needed to shop for quotes with an in-person visit. Luckily my problem was relatively simple to show via photo. The whole thing went smoothly.

Ray came within the hour of me calling. Che worked very quickly and explained what he did.  He was very polite.  I asked about doing another drain and he said it would be a third of the price since he was still at my house. In the end, he said the drain was ok.

Just a professional! Told him what was happening and what I wanted fix and he did. No issues at all and good communication. Will be calling again if I have any plumbing issues.

Had water leaking from shower under the wall in master bathroom. Called Shellback because of great reviews. Sent plumber and water restoration specialist fairly quickly. They informed me that I had significant water damage and they would file a claim with my insurance on my behalf. Didn't hear from them for about 2 weeks, so I called 3-4 times over the next few weeks. Was promised a call back each time. At least 2 months have passed and I have yet to hear back from anyone. It's extremely disappointing and I can't even wrap my head around why they would treat a customer this way. Now I have to start the process over with someone else.

Andy promised to come between 8:30 and 9:00, showed up at 8:25. Wore booties and mask. Very personable and knowledgeable. No fuss, no muss, got his snake and cleared out my drain. Tested and saw that the clog was further out and continued to snake. Problem solved. If you need reliable service, fair pricing (gave a quote beforehand over Yelp!) and a smile, look no further. Thank you Andy!

Luigi was great! Called him to snake two toilets. He was able to show up the next day(and was early!!!:) turned out we needed two new toilets, which he was able to replace in the same visit. His prices are very reasonable($75 each toilet or $125 to instal both toilets)
We also asked him estimates to instal a new bathroom, heating and ac, and a new gas and waterline. he explained his process for different estimates and how he concluded to the price.
Definitely using him again and highly recommend.

Would absolutely recommend. We had a time sensitive project repairing water damage in some drywall and he exceeded our needs in time, efficiency and quality of his work. His pricing was very affordable.

Called them on the 4th of July and they were here 45 minutes later. My tub was clogged and I had tried a snake, drano, and the plunger. They unclogged it in less than 5 minutes. Excellent service and very friendly.

What an amazing company. We called them on a Saturday evening and they were at our home within an hour. DID NOT charge an emergency fee/weekend fee. Very friendly, professional and extremely honest. We will definitely use this company again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a pesky hot water problem -- the shower suddenly was only spraying cold water. After figuring out it wasn't a hot water heater problem but a leak in my hot water line,  I called Sherlock Leak Detection.

Like everyone else, I've dealt with bad/shady plumbers.  I scoured the web for reviews -- the most visible leak specialist had mostly 1 stars.  Sherlock had nearly all 5 stars.  So -- I gave them a call and they came out in about 90 minutes.

They knew their stuff -- and it was refreshing that they didn't try to sell me anything or play games.  The technician had the right equipment, knew what he was doing, and was able to find the leak in my home's concrete slab in about 30 minutes.  He was also willing to explain to me his approach, process, and how he would find the leak.  And, he showed me all of the details as he progressed through the process.  He located the leak within about 6 inches -- truly amazing given the leak was 6 inches under my wood floor (subflooring, and concrete slab)    

They aren't plumbers, they don't fix the leaks; they only find the leak.
While this may seem weird,  the benefit is that they won't play games and attempt to upsell you on unnecessary services. I was also pleased that their price was a fixed price (no ridiculous hourly rate).  

My plumber came and repaired the leak the next day -- and actually asked if he could have Sherlock Leak's number.

I needed someone to come replace my water valves ASAP and Mr. DeVinney was able to come RIGHT AWAY! He replaced them fast, and even installed my washing machine! Very thankful I called him! Will definitely be using him in the future as I upgrade my home!

Oliver did a great job. Cleared out laundry and sink pipes. Works great.

I had a leak, didn't know where it was coming from. Called the owner of the company, such a nice guy. He even returned my call after hours and scheduled a time for his men to come out and investigate. Greg came out with another good man, and through thorough investigation and water test - they found the problem, which they quoted and finished job very efficiently and excellent work overall! They are clean and they clean up after themselves! Super nice and overall very good guys. I liked them a lot for the job they did and the price they quoted. Will work with them again and recommend them to my neighbors.

We had a leak on my tankless water heater today. I fill up request for repair on yelp, 6 companies reply in no time but A-1 Apex the only ones that send me rough prices and came in less then 1 hour to my house. Yaniv and sagee fix the problem with very fair price and did service for the heater as well.

3 hours after they left I realized that I don't have hot water around the house(after business hours), I called the company and explained that I have a baby and we need hot water tonight.
Guess what 15 minutes later knocked on the door yaniv showed up reset the system and confirmed that everything is working.

They deserve more then 5 stars
