On Monday of last week our hot water went out. I call Sears for the parts and received them that Thursday. I needed a plumber so I looked on Yelp and found Ray Mendoza. I read his reviews and they were all positive. I called him on Friday morning and he asked if I needed him that day. I explained my situation, Ray explained that he had a busy day but he would at my home around 4:30pm. He arrived around around 2:30pm, Ray was very pleasant and went straight to work. Ray installed the new part and lite the heater, but the heater would stay lite. So he took the lighten system apart, cleaned out the system and relighted the heater. Then he waited to make sure the heater continued to work, his prices are very reasonable. I will recommend Ray to all my friends.

Wow! Incredibly fast response by Jose. He responded to a job I needed done within minutes, gave me a quote and came out within an hour. He was very professional and finished the job as promised. He set up text messages and an email that notified me of an estimate window, when he was enroute, and when the job was done as well as the receipt.

I'm so happy that I went with Shellback, Alex had me all fixed up in no time flat! That's the short story.
The long story;
I had a leak and called Plumbing by Kirk. That was a a waste of time and money. When they were done I still had the same leak. They sold me a new regulator though and some sink plugs. Plugs should've been free since they caused a second leak that made the purchase of new plugs necessary. They also told me that they couldn't fix my leak without busting out the tile that surrounds my tub, where the original leak was. I told Alex this story he laughed then said I got chu. He was absolutely excellent in how fast he knocked this leak out of my life for good, AND he didn't even need to bust out my tile.
This company is bomb!! Believe the reviews. Pay special attention to how the owner deals with the 1 star ratings... it's what customer service should be!!! Too bad every company can't get down like Shellback.

Found Peter Lai Plumbing on Yelp since he got good ratings. My toilet clogged and I much needed the service asap for my business so I contacted Peter Lai Plumbing and spoke with Andy. He worked out his schedule to help me out right away and showed up very quickly. He was extremely professional and got the job done within 30 minutes.  I was very impressed by it all.

Andy knew exactly what the problem was and took care of it right away. He's consistently professional and trustworthy, always quick to respond, show up, and complete the job in a timely manner.  He communicates clearly when giving diagnosis on the issue and advice on how to prevent the issue from recurring in the future.

I had an air conditioning emergency . This weekend was hot and my business suffered . I called a lot of AC ppl on the yelp and I had to leave numerous messages . Ofcourse they all ended retuning my calls days later . Well with Luigi , I called and he answered his phone and we were able to schedule the appt immediately ! FYI! I'm in the heart of DTLA - very hard parking for service people to assist on repairs. I totally appreciate that he scheduled the appointment and came out . After an hour of checking my commercial AC unit , he was able to repair it and also fix the workings from my previous AC person .. Luigi was super honest and to the point about the issues. Overall he deserves the 5 for picking up the phone , on time to the appointment , fixing  the problem and  super fair with the pricing .. I totally recommend this company . Remember I have a business in DTLA where parking is crazy for repair people .. much appreciated !!

Went to papas again for work that needed to be done and they were just as lovely and helpful as the other times they've come. The only people we call now to have plumbing work done. They're always booked out but worth the wait!

Would absolutely recommend. We had a time sensitive project repairing water damage in some drywall and he exceeded our needs in time, efficiency and quality of his work. His pricing was very affordable.

Our water heater leaked and Santos installed the new one.
He was very responsive through yelp messaging and gave a good price. He was upfront about the fees and explained the fees in detail. (which is good)
He did a great, and a clean job at installing the new one, on top of that he is very friendly!

These guys helped me before and it was pretty good experience. I usually do not leave reviews, but after this, i had to. A couple of days ago Robert came out to fix my issue. He took a look at the issue and told me that i need to do a lot of work and my sprinklers valves should be re done, because they are not properly installed and that i need to excavate bushes to do so. Also he said bushes roots are on the way of pipes. I have very little bushes and even smaller roots on them. Those tiny roots can not ever damaged copper pipes. At the end of his inspection he was saying a lot of nonsense. My original issue was not about sprinklers, but about water pressure regulator and relief valve. For some reason he tried to open sprinkler valve and broke screw there, so water began to come out. I originally had one issue which i could control and after Robert broke the screw, i had two issues and one of them which i could not control. I asked him to fix is and he said there is nothing i can do for you. He had full truck of tools, it is unbelievable that he could not do nothing to fix what he broke. When i called the company they assured me that they will give me estimate and after they fix our issue if i agree, i will be completely satisfied. They did not offer any solution on the problem that Robert caused. Next day i received estimate for $3500. I was in shock, i originally only needed to change water pressure regulator and relief valve. Now after sprinkler was broken, i also had to fix all of the three sprinklers valves. I believe the estimate was so high because they did not want to go back to fix my issue. Of course they knew when writing estimate that i will refuse. I called a couple of other companies and they gave me estimates. The highest was $1200 which included three sprinkler valves which i originally did not need because they were not broken.

Ron was knowledgeable efficient and personable. He explained the situation, found the leaks quickly came up with the solutions and on top of that analyzed our water bill. I would highly recommend him and utilize his services again in the future. Thanks again Ron.

Don did an amazing job at my place. He responded
so quickly and was very good about communicating with me what was going on via text or phone call. To me that's one of the most important things any time I request a service from yelp. When he came over to take a look at things, he was very diligent about assessing the problems that was going on. I originally hired him to fix a gas pipe that was above ground. When he assessed the pipe he found that the pipes that were leading underground were also going bad. So once he figured that out he came up with a solution that not only was the quickest way to get the gas working in our house but also saved us a lot of money. Our gas line is located in the corner perimeter of my house. There's a pipe that feeds gas into our garage which is detached from my house and a pipe that runs to the main house. Don found a clever way to drill as minimal of the concrete as much as possible. He ran the gas pipe through the ceiling of my garage so he wouldn't have to drill into the floor (thank god because we very recently just had our garage floor redone). For our house he was able to run majority of the pipe through our small garden. I was afraid he would have to take out a massive portion of our patio tile, but he did it in a way where he only had to take out a small section. His team was highly efficient and got our gas working again after one day of work. His team did an amazing job restoring what my patio looked like and they were friendly and very professional. I absolutely recommend Don for all your plumbing needs!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!  If I could give them no stars I would.  Horrible service.  My problem was not fixed after two different visits.  I waited on one occasion for 3 hours to be told it was a scheduling mix up and I would need to reschedule again.  They do not answer their phones and just keep you hanging !  They accused me of not wanting to pay my bill (not true-never received the invoice) and accused me of lying.  Threatened to send me to collections and ruin my credit.  They are a nightmare and I hope they learn to be more professional with future customers.  I see now I should have checked YELP as they have other poor reviews that are similar to mine.

These guys are good.  Responsive, reasonably and transparently priced, and thorough.  More people should use them.
