This company is fantastic.  We had a gas line installed by them.  The quote was accurate, the time they estimated the job to take was accurate and they were prompt and kept us informed as the work was being completed.  A few weeks later we were experiencing issues with an old water heater that was in our home and Mike Testa Plumbing was to the rescue!  Kyle went above and beyond with his communications with the manufacturer and myself.  He is an excellent plumber and made us feel at ease and comfortable with the whole process which would have otherwise been stressful.  A big shoutout to Franklin (the servicer who did the work).

I've used F&S for a few years now and I've always had an excellent experience. They are always prompt and professional. Have not had issues with their work after it's been completed. I highly recommend F&S.

I purposefully filtered past the sponsored links on here, and iPowerSF was the highest rated otherwise of electricians in SF. They did not disappoint - managed to squeeze me in same-day (without additional charge), because my lights had already been out for 2 full days, and quickly were able to get to the root of the problem. All for a very reasonable rate. Would definitely use them again.

I hired Ricky for a lighting fixture repair at a rental property. Ricky showed up on time and put in an LED solution that is long lasting and cost efficient for me as a landlord. I really appreciated his email communication with me and the tenants. He takes venmo as payment which is another plus. I will be asking him to handle my future jobs!

I have used Eleney electric for years as I am in construction and a home owner. Fearghal is cheery with a can do attitude and actually knows a lot about construction. He has obviously been working on many different types of houses for years and even victorian old wiring doesn't phase him. His call out rate is very reasonable and he has never been unable to fix my problems. He is simply the best in town!

Jothi and his team were great. We had a unique project and Jothi was 100% behind the idea. We had designed our own solar power system with the help of a solar supply company. We needed someone to install it and that's where Redwood Electric came into the picture. This approach was cheaper and far higher quality than the solar installer companies. Jothi and his team did a fantastic job installing the system. I was hands on from the start so when I told Jothi I would be on the roof too, he welcomed it and his guys were great. I worked on the roofing aspect and they handled the solar gear install side of things. We couldn't be more happy with the final result! We have a very high quality system installed by a great team. Big Thank You to the Redwood Electric crew!

Brookline came over, charged $60 for an estimate (always a BAD SIGN) and coughed up a Five Thousand Dollar estimate to do a day's worth of work. We laughed at them and said no thank you.

I would be willing to bet they do superb and meticulous work. But you'll pay a premium for it.

Hands down the BEST service we have ever experienced.
Tom and I communicated throughout the week and he  helped me troubleshoot our electrical concern. He was available to swing by on a Sunday and found out what was wrong with our garage immediately. He gave us a quote and we decided to fix it sign Tom because we needed the garage fixed.

We used him a few more times and he seems to be getting more expensive.

Get quotes from other electricians.

We hired Natalie to mount and install a flat-screen TV and some speakers on a newly-installed entertainment center. She was never anything less than prompt, accommodating and attentive, and her work exceeded all our expectations. We'd be thrilled to recommend her to anyone who needs electrical work.

I contacted Byron as well as a few other electricians to get a quote for my radiant floor heating system which recently stopped working. Byron was one of the fastest to respond and provided a very reasonable estimate. He was always very responsive - I called him and asked him several questions over text before our appointment and he was quick to respond to every one.

He arrived on time to our appointment and was very professional. He quickly examined my thermostat and let me know what the issue was as soon as he found it. He replaced it and he even stayed for a little while after to confirm that it was working properly. I am very happy with his service and will be looking contact him for any issues I have in the future.

Wayne came on time to provide an estimate and Scott came the following day and corrected some major problems with our two unit building's electric panels.  Both people were extremely friendly, nice, professional and knowledgeable about their work.  I would highly recommend them.

Rick just finished up an electrical project for me - a panel of light switches that were stuck and should be replaced. Very skilled, professional, on time. We set up another appointment for a larger project and look forward to seeing him again!

It always feels good to support local businesses, but it's especially rewarding to support ones that are just getting started. When I went on Yelp looking for an electrician, Estiben and Brains Automation Homes didn't even have any reviews yet! It's always a little risky to go with a business with no reviews, but something told me Estiben knew what he was doing, and I can definitely say I made a good choice in selecting him for my home project.

I had been wanting to replace the old and ugly outlets and switches in my home, and decided to get a few quotes just to see what I would be getting myself into. Brains Automation Homes offered a competitive estimate and got the job done exactly as I had requested and quickly (I was able to schedule an appointment the same week I started looking for an electrician). It turns out Estiben is a one-man show breaking out on his own and trying to build up his business (hence, not many reviews). He's licensed, competent, and friendly. He knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned I might want to replace an outlet with one that had USB ports. As the business name indicates, Brains Automation Homes has experience with hooking up smart homes, so you know Estiben is knowledgeable about some of the latest tech.

For my project, Estiben arrived on time, was very polite, got the job done well, and cleaned up after himself. In all, he replaced two regular outlets, two outlet-switch combinations with GFCI, two double light switches, two single light switches, and a three-switch contraption in the bathroom that connects to the light, the fan, and a heater. The bathroom switch was a late add-on (I thought it might be too complicated), but Estiben had all the necessary parts, so he was able to take care of it then and there.

I have a few more electrical projects in mind, and I won't hesitate to contact Brains Automation Homes when the time comes.

I worked with Fitch Electric to install a backup generator that could power our house in the event of a power shutoff (which unfortunately, seems to be our reality these days where I live). Lucas, Josh, and their team were quick to give us a quote, find the generator we wanted, and get to work installing it in a matter of a few weeks. It's a fairly complex setup (as far as I can tell) and they were knowledgable and efficient. Though I hope we won't have to use this generator often, it's a huge source of peace of mind for me, especially as a parent to little ones.

Please read as 2.51 and that's being generous.  I don't like giving poor reviews to small businesses, but my experience was pretty negative.  One of my kitchen lights was flickering, then went out.  It was a relatively new LED bulb and the previous bulb in that fixture had also failed, which made me suspect it was the fixture since the bulbs in the other fixture hadn't failed.  I had recently read Terry T;s review and decided to call Jaime.  He came out to take a look at it and made an appointment to come the next day.  He didn't give me an estimate and I didn't ask him for one.  When he didn't come the following day I contacted him and he said he had forgotten.  We made another appointment for the next day and he did arrive.  He worked on the fixture, replaced the bulb, which still didn't work, then put in a bulb he had, which did work.  He left me that bulb until I could get another bulb, saying he would return to switch them out.  When I asked what I owed him I was astonished when he told me $300.  It was less than an hour's work.  A few days later I texted him that I had a new bulb.  He came over a couple of days later and exchanged the bulbs.  I had assumed the $300 would be covering his return trip, but he asked me for $30 more for gas.  I grudgingly paid him.  I felt ripped off and will definitely not be hiring him again.

I worked with Gareth through my contractor on a remodel for my place during 2021-2022. I was satisfied with the quality of the work him and his team did.

A little more than a year afterwards, I was having trouble with a pair of outlets in my kitchen, and one in my garage stopped working. I called to ask them to come check them out. The garage was a dumb mistake on my part - it was one of the ones with a switch on the outlet itself that had flipped, so that was just a matter of pushing the button. The kitchen outlets we weren't able to reproduce the issue, but he gave me an estimate of a few hours of work to change out those outlets for the types with switches.

I was really surprised to be hit with a $260 bill for this short visit of less than 10 minutes where no work was done besides pushing a button and giving me a rough estimate. I am sensitive to not wasting the time of his team, and understand why companies charge a service fee for home visits. I was just really surprised by the amount of the charge, especially given the existing relationship, and that this was pertaining to work his team had installed.

I asked if this charge would be credited towards the work that was estimated, and he said he would give me a 15% discount on it rather than a credit (which would amount to far less money given only a couple hours of work). I asked if he would forgive the amount given the prospect of maintaining the business relationship but he said only if we do work within the next month. I paid the bill and let him know we wouldn't be doing business again.

All I can say is, Wow!  I called Service Champions about their furnace inspection service, and I got an appointment the next day.  The technician, Jesus, was on time, polite, and knowledgeable.  He explained the entire inspection process, and he took photos so I could see the condition of the furnace.  Then he emailed me the photos. He also took the time to tell me about other services they offer.  And Jesus gets extra credit for wearing shoe covers in the house and climbing up into the crawl space where the furnace is located.

We will definitely use their services again.  Thank you Service Champions!
