Best Electricians in Los Angeles, CA

Don't waste your time with anyone else! I had a really small electrical job that I had been putting off for a few days(faulty outlet) and was not looking forwaRd to trying tto setup a company to comE out.

I used yelps message feature and found coastal services electric and I'm so glad I did. They responded within minutes...had availability that afternoon and even when I was running late to get home they were patient, friendly and kind.

Val and Adrian were quick to confirm my diagnosis of the problem and repair the faulty outlet in roughly 20min.

If I ever have any other electrical needs this will be my first call

Called rick... Told him about my small electrical issue... Said he would try to stop by on his way home that afternoon...He must live in Siberia because that was 5 days ago... Hey , I know my job was small, but at the very least, call and say you aren't coming on That afternoon...Or at all..see , I Also need 15 recessed lights installed... So yeah, this little job would have turned into a big job. Bottom line: don't blow off potential customers, especially  those who yelp!
PS: went with another electrician. He was glad to pocket the $$$

After dealing with an electrician who took the job and never came back to fully complete the work. So I had no other choice then to find an-experienced honest electrician. That's when I found Vartan from Yelp who showed up on time and saw the mistakes for the previous electrician and agreed to fully redo the whole job the next day. To my surprise he showed up the next day on time and took the whole day to complete somebody else mistakes. Vartan and his crew were very professional did the job right and ended up fixing other electrical issues as well. Now I can count on this company that knows what to do and they do it well the first time around.

Make no mistake, hire these guys and you will now be disappointed.

I was in a jam when all my kitchen lights went out suddenly on a saturday afternoon.  I needed to get it fixed quick as i have 2 little munchkins and a working kitchen is critical to ensure things are operating smoothly in the house. Curt quickly came over.  He was attentive, very professional, an expert, and got things fixed asap.  Moreover, he is very personable and pleasant to be around. Rates were reasonable and he was honest.  I didn't feel like he was trying to get the best of me.  Best part - he's a Denver Broncos fan!  I should have known, given the great experience i had working with him.  He's definitely my Peyton Manning of electrical!  ;-)

Manuel and his team did a great job upgrading our electric panel and putting in new outlets in our house. They responded quickly and their rates were fair. Will definitely use them in the future for any electric needs.

Nowadays it's hard to find honest people. So many companies try take your good earned money. I called a company that has been around in Torrance for 10+ yrs to take a look at a new light fixture That kept causing the breaker to go off even though it was pulling less power compared to the old one. After seeing the panel and fixture, this dishonest company told me I had to upgrade my panel. They even told me that it was unsafe. Talk about trying to cause fear.

I called Jeff to get a second opinion. He told me what to do step by step. But for sure told me that it was not the panel. After spending 10 minutes, I found that in one of the bulbs, a metal was facing up instead of down like the others. It was so simple. That unscrupulous company would have taken me for $2-3,000 for unnecessary work.

I didn't actually use their service, but called on behalf of a business that I work for; I was extremely pleased with their courtesy and honesty. The guy told me that he couldn't help me but told me who to call and what services I needed. The other people I called were rude and ready to hang up. Now I see why they have such high marks!

If our business needs their service I'll definitely be calling them.

My partner and I wanted to brighten our livingroom space by adding recessed lighting but finding someone to do it was harder than we thought. It wasn't until we called C-Jays Electrical Service. Chris was so nice on the phone and attentive, patient with our questions when he stopped by our home to evaluate the project. We are currently working from home and Chris was able to accommodate with our schedule to come early in the morning to avoid noise interference during our work hours. Chris, Dave (I hope this is right), and his apprentice were super friendly/polite, respectful of our home, and efficient. Before they started cutting into the ceiling they talked to us about the best places to put the lights since our vent was off center in terms of dimensions of our livingroom space. They completed the job in 4 hours which included updating outlets and light switches. Chris readjusted the final invoice on the spot, provided Home Depot receipts, and showed us how to use our new dimmable recessed lights. We are so happy with the results and can't wait to work with them on more projects around our home.

I needed a plug replaced on my in wall AC unit this past Saturday. I placed a call at about 2:45pm. By 4pm Wayne had it all taken care of. Friendly, quick, knowledgeable and professional, I'll be calling them if/when I need any more electrical work done!

If I could give 0 stars I would (believe me, I tried for 5 min to unclick that 1 star). Not only did they want waaaaaay too much for work on my new condo at the time in Culver City, they asked for a $250 deposit to inspect the premises, even though I already had an inspection done by the city. But I naively thought, whatever, and like an idiot I paid it, by check no less! If I had done credit, I could have have contested it. They do take credit, so use that in case you read this and still use them.

When they came out, they quoted me for a bunch of stuff that I didn't need (including $125 for troubleshooting balcony light switch; the balcony lights are controlled by the building, not by me), citing that the city of Los Angeles requires these things. The condo was in CULVER CITY and had no such requirements. So unless these guys had magic re-zoning abilities, I was having none of it. When I told them I wanted/needed only certain items on their total quote, they were insistent that I take the full quote of over $3500, holding my deposit hostage if I did not use them. Apparently, their quote constitutes a contract, (one I never signed, by the way), and according to them my deposit is tied up into this contract. They did respond to my attempts to compromise, but they continued to be unreasonable about the services they wanted to charge me for, bottoming out at over $1000 of unnecessary services.

In the end, I forfeited my deposit out of principle, and ended up using another electrician who charged me half the price for the same services I had requested without the pushy salesman tactics. I'll admit, I was a fool and they took advantage, so in essence, they earned their money. Call it tuition for a life lesson.
