I thoroughly recommend Coastal Services electric. Val and Adrian are excellent. They came today to run a cable from the router in the main house to the guest house, they were very very professional and went way beyond normal service expectations by ensuring that it all works properly. I would definitely use them again.

I wish i could give him 5 negative stars! During a remodel, I hired Rick Jackson to get my electrical up to code so I could pass the city inspection. I had a list of items, provided by the city, that needed correcting. Rick agreed to do the work. The morning that he was suppose to start the job, I called him and he informed me that he called the city regarding their list of correction items for my house and asked a city professional if my electrical panel needed to be moved. He told me that they said it did. I told him that that was not on their list of corrections and I just wanted to follow the city inspectors list. Rick than informed me that he can only do the job if I agree to move the electrical panel to a different location in my house. He said the city required it be moved and he quoted an additional $1,000 to move the panel! I was in shock that he would call the city, give them my address, and ask them if their correction list should be longer! Needless to say, that was the end of working with Rick. I found and hired a straightforward and honest electrician who did a fantastic job! The electrical panel was not moved and I passed city inspection without any issue. Save yourself the headache by not hiring Rick Jackson.

Nshan at East West is a dependable, patient, and informative electrician.  He arrives right on time, clearly explains all electrical issues, and does an impeccable job executing the work.  He and his polite crew keep such a tidy workspace and Nshan takes the time out of his exhausting day to answer all customer questions and give advice on next phases of work.  We have been searching a long time for an electrician we can trust, and we are so lucky to have found East West.

Several outlets died over night and HD Electric sent someone out right away. They were professional, through and got the job done fast. They explained what they were doing and what they saw on a way I could understand.

I can't recommend Electric Brothers highly enough. We called them about getting our old hazardous electrical panel replaced with a new 200 amp panel. We're so glad we decided to go with them. We got several bids, but the way Isaac walked us through everything and explained the project from start to finish sold us. We didn't regret our decision. These guys are amazing! As new homeowners making upgrades on our house, we've dealt with our fair share of contractors over the last few years. We've definitely had mixed experiences with most of them. That wasn't the case with Electric Brothers - they were totally professional and on top of everything. Isaac and Eric (the Electric Brothers!) called and texted regularly during our project to give us updates and make sure we knew what was going on. Our panel replacement ended up being a bigger project than they had anticipated, so they called in reinforcements to make sure they finished on time. The crew put in two 12 hour days to get everything done. They were also very careful and attentive while they were on our property, and they cleaned up their work site every evening.

Overall, their pricing was very reasonable and they were super professional, courteous and attentive. And the work was outstanding! Everything passed the city inspection without any issues. They are definitely the best contractors we've dealt with, and we'll be calling them again in the future whenever we need electrical work.

Curt came to fix a few things in my home: a bad outlet, a bad shower fan, and to install two new ceiling fans. He did each project to perfection with detail and walked me through the whole thing. He answered all my questions with patience and offered wonderful suggestions that I never thought of. As a female, he was not intimidating or threatening in the least - I was completely comfortable with him in my home. He is a super guy with attention to detail and efficiency. I will ALWAYS go to him for all my electrical needs. If I could give 6 stars I would!

Manuel and his crew wired up a hot tub in my backyard.  They were able to hide the conduit in my garage and perform a clean installation.  Very happy with them and their work.  Will recommend to my friends.

We had an electric oven stop working and made a claim with our home warranty. We had horrible slow service, and even misdiagnosis of what was going on. The electrician that the warranty service sent, seemed to have no experience, and what's more, didn't have the materials available to complete the job the first time.  

After a month of arguing with the warranty service, we finally decided to hire an electrician outside the warranty. I hired Jeff based on Yelp reviews and could not be happier!  Jeff and Carlos arrived early and diagnosed the problem immediately. They wasted no time determining what was needed and had all the materials available with them to make the fix.  

It was a difficult tight corner and required some hard work just to access the repair point behind the oven, but Carlos and Jeff squeezed in and made it work.

They were also very friendly and offered no-pressure advice on some further projects I had for the future.  Both have 30+ years of experience and it showed.

I will certainly hire them again for any electrical needs.

He completed three projects very professionally and neatly and efficiently. Possesses broad range of skills. Offers creative solutions to sticky problems. Arrived punctually on consecutive days. He needed to get an unusual part and went to the store and returned right away. Very reasonable and easy to work with. Highly recommended vendor.

We know most peoples concerns are health safety and these two did just that. They worn masks and were very respectful of space. Super knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They checked all the wiring and confirmed wiring was done correctly then moved on to my actual project of getting electric in my closet to charge the vacuums. Thanks guys happy holidays.

Update 2/25/2019: I'm updating my rating and review from 3 star to 5 star after he reached out to me after my initial review. See updated review below.

Communication is good and they are on time. Price was very reasonable to install an EV charger with a meter but be careful when negotiating the quote. They'll give you a price plus permitting fees. My only nitpick, a really minor one, is that for his commercial customers, they understand what that means but for his residential customers, he should explain a bit more what that means up front. To clarify, it will not only cover the city's permit fees but the company's business license fees to operate in your city (those that are not in LA county jurisdiction ie incorporated cities) separate from the county and state business license fees he pays. This will up your quote by a few hundred that you may or may not be expecting. Again, as I said, this is a minor nitpick as this doesn't apply for people who live in unincorporated parts of LA county but warning residential homeowners who don't go through the permitting process as often as he does would be helpful for future customers.

The installers did a good job and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Since they're electricians, they don't do any dry walling but thankfully, my dad was able to handle this himself since he manages a few apartment buildings. If you don't have a handyman in your life, Aram recommends Cal Express Patching.

As mentioned, after the install, I had some concerns and he got back to me quickly. I had questions about the previously mentioned permitting fees, notching that was required in some cross bracing during the install and changes in Telsa's wall charger installation height recommendations. If you're curious, the manual included with the wall charger had one recommendation but Aram corrected me that Tesla updated the manual online and allowed for additional height. That shows his experience with Tesla installs.

Overall, he was the most responsive, as he was the first one to complete a site inspection for an accurate quote out of all the electricians I requested quotes from. After getting several other quotes, he wasn't the cheapest but he also wasn't the most expensive. Some were ten times his cost but they were also going to do a lot of unnecessary work like ripping up my roof to run a separate overhead line from the street and a second 200A breaker panel besides being the big guys in the field. The ridiculously cheap one scared me a lot because of their horrible Yelp reviews. Voltech is my sweet spot choice for a reasonable price while still caring about the quality of their work and keeping their customers happy ie good Yelp reviews.

I also recommend to be assertive with asking questions and keeping things moving but also do your own research in advance. Electrical work may be very diverse and they're busy with their work since they're maintaining good Yelp reviews and they don't have a lot of time for people who are hemming an hawing. I think that's where the negative reviews came from, people who weren't serious about getting the work done. Luckily for me, besides my own research, Aram has done many other Tesla installs before so at least in one case, he corrected me with updated information.

I loved that the crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job installing two ceiling fans, two smart home bathroom vents, and a nest security light. I would recommend this company for all your electrical needs.

Gil saved us not once, but twice! And not just me, but also my neighbors.

Unlike most electricians, he communicated with us to let us know when he would arrive, fixed everything quickly, and was professional and extremely helpful.

My sister referred Intelecrtic to me.  I must say A+++++   I have to disagree with David, they didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need.  I got 3 quotes from various electricians and Intelectric was the best quote that I received.  Works were pleasant, clean and on time.  I would def. use them again and also referred to all my family members..
