Best Electricians in Los Angeles, CA

Looking for a trusty electrician? Like many of you when you think of an electrician you're probably thinking about some dude on a telephone re-wiring cables or something... However, let me tell you that the amount of services that an electrician can provide in the modern age is astounding and there is no one else I'd recommend than Alex and Alex and here's why...

Coincidentally, another project led me into looking into replacing my old Zinsco electrical sub-panel. Fun Fact: A lot of older buildings made in the 60's/70's used Zinsco electrical panels and they were deemed a fire hazard and super unsafe. So 100% I had to change this electrical panel ASAP.

I called around to a lot of different places to get a price quote but ultimately ending up going with Alex and Alex. Not a fan of people quoting me double for the same work that Alex and Alex were gonna do and also why I went is when I spoke with Alex on the phone I could tell he was a good guy who wasn't trying to just upsell me and get the sale. He was genuinely interested in helping me.

The 1st person you'll meet is Alex. The younger one. The other alex is his step-father. They are both licensed!  I had called and he was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and addressing all my concerns.

On the day of the job, there was a 3 man crew and his Step-father, another guy, and himself all showed up at 9am and they completed the job by 1pm. In fact he had told me it might take all day but they were able to finish the job early.

They were extremely efficient, precise, and you could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. I was chatting with the older Alex and he says that he has been working as an Electrician since 1977. Experience and reliability is what I look for in an electrician and it shows.

They installed a brand spanking new Siemens electrical panel and it looks super swanky. The only downside is that they had to break some of the dry-wall behind the panel and were not able to patch up the dry wall but keep in mind they are electricians and they specifically state ahead of time that they don't patch walls cause they are electricians. Duh!  Totally understand. But they put protective plastic around the open covering and it looks good and it's minimal.

I inquired about other potential services that they offered and I was happy to know that they also do a lot of Tesla Wall chargers as well but given where I live that isn't a feasible option at this moment.

Next project will be definitely be Recessed lighting! Another service that Alex and Alex offer and another thing I didn't know that I needed but now that I know I definitely gotta have it and trust when I say that Alex and Alex will be handling the job!

My third stab at a 5 star yelp electrician, and the only one that deserves it. Not only did he show up, he showed up early. Diagnosed and fixed the problem inside of 15 minutes. Super polite, left no mess and absolutely zero drama. I've been through the ringer with different workers on my rental, now even a hint of odd/flakey/weird - I nope out lickety split. Sean is your guy.

We had them install a 225 pound chandelier and they did a beautiful job. The service was professional and timely. They responded to my quote immediately and came out to our home to give us a more accurate quote and time frame. Would definitely hire them again!

Needed an EV charger and dining room light fixture installed so got a few quotes on Yelp. Art was the most friendly and responsive person and one who actually came out to assess the house before quoting us. Art was great and his team led by Tedi did a great job installing the items we requested. Everything was done professionally and quickly.

Nathan and Madison Electric helped with a massive overhaul of my Electric for my ENTIRE old Venice home. Big project, great crew and really did outstanding work. They are first rate and I have had them back several times to add new electric items...Keep up the good work and thank you!

We hired Jose and his team to still a 50amp line for EV charging in a commercial building. They were extremely professional, nice, prompt, and delivered exactly what they said they would.

Jose first did a FaceTime to preliminary scope the project and then sent me a proposal. He then came on site a few days before to see it in person. And then arrived promptly on the day of work with extra help to get the job done.

They were able to get my 18foot cord to fit PERFECTLY while myself parking head in, which was super important to me.

Wouldn't hesitate to hire them again!

We called 4 Yelp electricians after dealing with a few  contractors. We just wanted to install a Clipper Creek level 2 charger for our electric car. This required converting to a 220 volt from a 110v.  This is not rocket science. Amazingly, a number of others I called treated it like rocket science.

We had some outrageous quotes including one who insisted the garage needed to be reconfigured and complained about how complicated the job would be. One Yelp reviewed electrician carried on about load calculations to justify wanting to charge $150 just to give us an estimate.

All-in-One was great. He came out, gave us an estimate, and had the job done the next day.

The people that I spoke with and installers were good and courteous. I was quoted $350 for 4 recess lights. I was told parts and labor covered, with $100 deposite which I paid. At the time of installation, I was told dimmer switches were not included. I either loose my deposit or pay additional $150 for 3 dimmer switches which I had no choice but pay.

Will I go back to this company for my other projects: no I will not.

Update 3 years later: Happy to report that the service is as good as it was the last time. Our bathroom light needed a new switch (we thought, but it tuned out that a ballast for the light was bad) and I saw some arcing on our garage overhead light. So we requested Eric once again, and again, he did an amazing job. He showed up as scheduled on Christmas Eve. This time, the job took longer than we expected but Eric toiled away on the issues late into the day. We had plans that evening and ended up having to leave poor Eric outside in the garage working alone while we left. The poor guy worked alone at our house late on Christmas Eve (we gave him a nice tip). But knowing that this was West LA Electric, we also knew that we were in good hands. Sure enough we returned to perfectly functioning lights.

I could not be happier with East West Electric! They were timely and responsive. They went above and beyond!

Home Depot had incorrectly listed the voltage requirements for an electric dryer we purchased on their website. Because of that, East West came back to uninstall and then reinstall the correct voltage even though this was Home Depot's fault. East West did not charge us extra for this even though they were not at all at fault for the initial installation. Highly recommend!

I bought an older house that needed a new service panel and additional circuits for a kitchen remodel and install grounded outlets throughout the house.  I was very apprehensive in getting the work done because I knew it may cost a lot...especially since I was on a budget.  Penna Electric came out and they were able to provide a solution that fit my budget.  Other companies were recommending me to replace all my electrical wiring and that would cost $18k plus, which was not an option.   They did all the work in a couple of days.  After the work was done the city inspector came out to review the job and there was an issue/questions about the work.  But Penna Electric was there to take care of the inspector's questions, which in the end there was no issue.  The inspector just wanted someone to walk him through the work that was done.  I would highly recommend them for any type of electrical work,

Yes, I hired J Powers to get rid of a fuse box and upgrading to a circuit breaker.  We're waiting for the go ahead from DWP.  Joel is very professional and explained the process very well.

These guys are amazing.   I called to inquire EV charging station for my Tesla and I couldn't be happier.  They immediately gave us a quote and came out for an estimate.  They also explained the scope of work and answered all of the questions we had.   These guys deliver above and beyond our expectations.

professional and respectful.  Best of all it had no damage to our existing drywall (like the other companies told us it would). so we didn't have to spend extra money for patch up and paint

Celso came the same day I requested, and gamely went into our admittedly small crawl space to find out why two of our outlets stopped functioning. In less than two hours the outlets were back up and working. Very reasonably priced, prompt, and effective.

I had a few outlets that needed to be upgraded. Oscar arrived within the stated timeframe. Although the original plan for the upgrades was not practical to be done due to the way the house is built and Oscar explained it well, the alternate plan worked very well. The work was done pretty quick and of high quality. I plan to have more work done in the future by them.

This is one of those occasions where they are so good, I almost don't want to tell people. Because I know when the word gets out, it'll be impossible to get ahold of him. Cesar is impeccable. He has been doing electrical work for me for years. Both in my house and at my industrial space -- and it's always been excellent. He is always on time. Never rushes the job. Is super clean and goes beyond expectations to make the end result superb. Anything I've thrown at him from the simple splicing of cafe lights at the house to installing 3-phase 240 volt outlets and wiring up my entire wood working studio -- he's done it perfectly. Efficient, innovative, and expert. And unlike so many other folks of his caliber, he won't gouge you when it comes to prices. I couldn't recommend his work with greater confidence or enthusiasm.
