Alex&Alex is the best! We had to replace our outdated and hazardous old breaker box and they fit us in on a weekend and got it done right away. Alex was able to give me a fast and accurate estimate over the phone/text and we got scheduled for the very next day. The technicians were on time, efficient, friendly and courteous and got the job finished in record time. So glad I found Alex on Yelp and got my problems taken care of so quickly!

Had a short list of electric-related projects around the house.  Roman knocked them off quickly and effectively.   Price was excellent.  Service was even better.

Bait and switch. Don't trust the quote. Will upcharge you over and over. Terrible experience.

Here's my experience:
Electrician showed up, quoted $1,500 for multiple light installs. I have all lights on hand and pointed out all install sites.

Afterward I ask about adding some switches and landed at $1,850.

Then I also asked about a large chandelier install as a phase 2 project and pull up the exact model of the chandelier ordered, was quoted $1,200. So All together we're at $1,850 + $1,200 = $3,050.

We agree to part 1 of the project and the chandelier at a later date but I decline the switches, but now my quote is $1,600 instead of the initial $1,500 agreed to. He won't budge. Against my better judgement I agree and let him move forward.

Day of install he gets into the lights and says an additional $150 is needed for wiring work. At this point he's literally standing on my counter with the junction box exposed so I agree to it just to get it done. We're now at $1,750 instead of the original $1,500 quoted. Job gets done and he says one of the other lights would normally require another upcharge, but he's doing me a favor by not charging even more than the agreed upon price.

He comes back for the chandelier install. Opens the box and says he can't install the chandelier at the agreed upon price and it has to be $3,000 instead of $1,200.

Either these hidden up charges are just part of their business model or there is completely inadequate due diligence that they'll pass on the end customer.

Nathan provided great customer service. Appointment was efficient and work priced fairly. Definitely recommend for high profile clientele

Estimated 2pm arrival but called back and said noon.  We were so grateful because our refrigerator wasn't working nor our air conditioner.  They showed early, gave us a really reasonable price and made our day!  We highly recommend them.  They figured out our problem within an hour!! :). I called AP Electrics on a Saturday to have a chandelier installed and Jose coordinated everything over text, got me a quote, and was out at the house just hours later. Absolutely fantastic work. Clean, thorough, and thoughtful. Be weary when booking an electrician online, there can be fraudulent listings with lots of stock photos that just route to a foreign call center and you don't really know what you're getting. That's not the case with Jose and AP Electrics. This is an owner-operated local electrician with stellar customer service skills. I enjoyed chatting with Jose while he was working and will definitely call again for other electrical needs.

These guys are so nice and they saved me this week! I needed some rewiring at my commercial location and Stewart sent Vinny and Michael out that very day since I was in a tough spot and needed immediate help. They are so professional! Thanks guys!

AVOID. The initial consultation was great, and I had high hopes. However, the resulting mess of work should serve as a warning to anyone looking to hire an electrician. There were three jobs to be included: installing a 240v plug for a new dryer; installing a plug into a stove hood; changing out a plug that had some strange wiring. The junior apprentice scratched the hood while wiring in the plug. The actual electrician also installed the wrong plug for the dryer. Upon discovery, I called BK back. They told me the repair would be fixed today between 330 and 530. I called at 4 PM for a status and was assured the technician would be here no later than 5:30 PM. At 5:30 I called and was told I would receive an update. I then received a text message from the technician 10 minutes later apologizing and saying he would not arrive until 6:20 PM. That could have been communicated a lot earlier. Since I don't live here and my family is waiting at home for dinner, this isn't just an inconvenience - it's a complete disregard for the value of my time and encroaching on the needs of my family. AVOID.

After our bathroom outlet started smoking, we knew we had a problem on our hands! After searching Yelp for a local electrician with good reviews, I decided to call Scott with West L.A. Electric. Scott returned my call immediately and came by a couple of days later when I had a day off of work to meet him. He was planning on leaving town early on the day I wanted him to come over, but happily said he could come by first thing and then would leave town later. Can you say, amazing?!

Scott came by a little early for the appointment, quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced my GFI in no time. Scott was friendly, professional, arrived early and worked quickly. I highly recommend him.

I didn't even use East West Electric's services and think they're amazing. I sent a message on Yelp asking for some info on how to make my recessed ceiling light fixtures work for a screw bulb light. Nshan called via FaceTime and walked me through the (very easy!) 5 minute process. I was actually blown away-- who gives you free advice over a quote? Will definitely be using them in future for any electrical problems. Thank you so much!

We found ourselves over our heads in a DIY bedroom remodel project and found Todd on Yelp.    He responded quickly to our request to fix our electrical wiring while we were waiting for the new windows to come in. We left him with his guy in our house while we were at work. He constantly updated us on the progress of their work and gave sound recommendations. Todd is so easy to work with; he is very accommodating, answers his phone all the time, is trustworthy and very professional. He has become our family electrician.

If you are searching for a great electrician at a great price J Powers Electric is a very good choice.  Jay is a heck of a nice guy and extremely professional. His quotes for any electrical work needed are very competitive. He was always on time and called in advance to let me know what time he would be here. He is very up to date on the city electrical codes, uses top quality parts, and really does good work !!

These guys were very timely - came out the same day (within a few hours) to fix my kitchen light fixture that went out! I would definitely recommend!

Showed up fast and wasted little time. Our control panel with all our breakers weren't working. He found the two fuses that were burned, he had to make multiple calls for the part because it was late and many places were closed. Instead of saying sorry I'll come back tomorrow he kept making calls. I really liked that. He knew the emergency we were in and didn't give up. After he replaced and fixed everything we noticed a separate problem with our ice machine and fixed that for a very small fee. Overall one of the best electricians we have ever worked with. Will definitely be calling him again.
