Best Electricians in California

I was having problems with my air conditioner turning on and called American reliable out to make sure it was not the electricity and if I needed to call an air conditioning repair company. The guy that came, after looking around, said that the wiring was bad and something in the attic needed to be replaced and it would be over $900. He also began to tell me that service done prior by another electrician was done wrong and a safety hazard, I'm sure that he would also charge me more to fix. I held off on the repair due to the cost and the next day went through my home warranty company where I only had to pay a service visit of $65 for the repairs. The funny thing is that the next electrician that came said there was absolutely NOTHING wrong and there were NO repairs needed. So american reliable was going to charge me $900 for NOTHING!!!!!! I have a family and 3 kids and lots of bills each month. How dare this messed up company try to screw me out of my hard earned $900 that I can't even afford!!! Would never recommend this company!!

Our AC stopped working and the AC repairman said it was an electrical issue, so I found Marco through yelp. He was one of the first to respond to my yelp messages and he was able to quickly schedule a time to come see what the issue was. He explained everything to me in detail and was able to quickly fix the problem. Marco is trustworthy and a good communicator. He used to be a nurse, and I am a nurse, so we got a discount which was a plus :) definitely would recommend him to my friends and family.

He's knowledgeable, professional, nice, and patient. He is a great electrician who fixed problems across our house that 2 other electricians couldn't fix--and best of all he did it at a great rate!

The power to our kitchen, garage, and den all went out just before Christmas. We reached out to another electrician who couldn't fix it and actually caused more problems (unknown to us) by leaving behind wires disconnected inside a junction box in the attic. Another one stated it was a problem SCE had to fix and charged us a lot just to show up for 10mins.

Thankfully we came across Seaway Electric. Brandon was able to get our kitchen and laundry room back online quickly and safely, and then spent time on the hunt in our attic to get the outlets and lights in our den to work. He was able to find the problem and safely fix it, bringing our house back online.

He answered our questions along the way, explained the problems/his solutions to help educate us, and he had a lot of patience working with our wiring--it's an old house and the previous owners must have done a lot of DIY work.

I highly recommend working with Brandon at Seaway Electric for any of your electrical needs. We now know our go-to electrician and we are very thankful for that! He should be yours too!!

My plumber highly recommended Dr Sparks.  A technician came by to fix an outlet that wouldn't reset.  The outlet didn't need to be fixed and was actually working fine.  (The technician told me that some dirt or grease may have gotten into it which caused my toaster oven not to turn on).  Dr Sparks did not charge me for the service call.  The next day the owner called to make sure that I was satisfied with the service.  I thanked him for not charging me for the tech's time.  I would recommend Dr Sparks and plan on calling them again the next time I need an electrician.

Really good at remote communication, They were emailing to help setup the best appt slot. Their person was ontime, polite, and got right to work. Very reasonable $95 per hour  and seems like they did good work! Thanks again for making it easy and painless.

I needed some electrical done at my home. Was glad that I found MAG on yelp. Requested a quote 30 minutes  later I got a response and we were able to schedule  a appt for the weekend. Weekend came and Mark and moises came out and installed 4 cans in my ceiling. Came out great. I am really satisfied  with there work. Yelp came through again.

We are so pleased with the work that Alberto and his father did in installing our new door.  He provided all parts and replaced the frame as well, and even returned to do follow-up work when the weather strip that was applied was a bit stiff, making it a bit challenging for the door to close easily without some force.  The all-inclusive quote seemed high at first, but honestly, for a job done right like this - especially for a critical home feature like a front door - we think it was worth every penny, and we have zero regrets.  Additionally, he was quick to respond, friendly, very personable, and professional.  We will be using him again in the future.

My husband and I rewired our entire home with the intention of getting central a/c installed. We took the time to get bids from several electricians to compare costs and approach. Our #1 priority was long term safety. Other electricians suggested short cuts despite us telling them that we didn't want short cuts. Jose listened to us and was HONEST. He told us how we could short cut, but suggested otherwise. He explained his approach, taking the time to explain HOW he would do it and WHY.

The crew was on time every day. They were quick - the entire house took less than a week. Jose pulled the permits (less hassle for us).

My favorite part is that they took the time to cover every piece of furniture every day! If you've never had work done in your home this is probably an oversight. This is a small detail that you learn after the first experience. The dust was kept to a minimum and they patched up every hole they made. All these things are value added and worth every penny. I should mention that he's reasonably priced so the value add, was really valuable.

Through the process we mentioned that we intended on buying a new lighting fixture for the dining room. He told us to take our time and that he would come back (at no additional charge) to install the fixture. That's service!

Needed to get a NEMA 14-50 installed. Not only were they very quick and efficient, their price was also extremely competitive. They were communicative and on time. Their work is clean and they used correct gauge wiring for a 50A breaker. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing service. I had like 12 things I was considering fixing or improving in the electrical in my house - Shai came over and gave an incredibly thorough estimate with great advice and recommendations for all my questions. All the prices were in line with or lower than other estimates I got. He took a ton of notes and videos so I knew he and his team would be thorough and on the same page. So I herd of this place from my friend and Im glad I did.  They were helpful with me unlike another company that made me feel very u comfortable.  These people were super cool.

**UPDATE** Ben reached out and wanted to make things right and sent out someone to repair the stucco on our wall. And although I appreciate the gesture, I wish the sentiment was there from the beginning (as there were just so many things wrong with this entire transaction, and not stemmed from a bad review) and I wish there was nothing wrong to begin with for him to make right. But I did want to update the fact that they did come out and fix the stucco wall which we appreciate.

I used Volt Tech Electric for my electrical inspection for my first home buying experiencing. As expected, I was charged an inspection fee for them to come out and do an expert electrical inspection for safety and code violations and do an ACCURATE quote for the repairs necessary. I used this quote in order to submit to my sellers for credit in order to make sure all the electrical repairs get completed before buying the home. Unfortunately, they were not able to credit me for the full quote, instead of trying to find another electrical contractors to see if I can get the repairs done at a less expensive price I discussed the issue with Ben and Ben was KIND enough to mildly reduce the quoted price and we scheduled an appointment to do everything on his quoted list including the electrical repair.

Now comes the frustration. Once Ben was out to do the actual repair he informed us that he had to charge us MORE in order to get everything fixed because the electrical panel is more extensive and he then quoted us for MORE than the ORIGINAL quote he had given us. So not only are we not saving money, but what was the point of paying for the original inspection fee in order to get an ACCURATE quote. However, I tried to understand the fact that sometimes you do not get a good picture of how much work needs to be done until you fully open everything up. Sure. I agreed for them to continue to do the work at the now raised price. HOWEVER, I did not know that I am expected to pay additional money after the job is done because now I have to hire additional people in order to fix the stucco and exterior wall because of the electrical panel placement. They created GAPING holes around the electrical panel. Which was never communicated to me that that would happen and that I should be expecting to pay HUNDREDS more. Maybe I don't understand this business or how it is suppose to work but I am baffled.

1) I paid for an inspection fee to get an INACURRATE QUOTE that made me LOSE money because I submitted an INACCURATE quote list to my seller
2) Although he agreed to lower the original quote, he did not honor the discount and I am hit with a SURPRISE RAISE in price MORE than the original once we scheduled them for repair/job and then
3) they created unexplained damage to the property and expect us to fix it

I genuinely want to give this place 1 star for just an awful first time experience

At the end of the day even though the repairs were done there is now a GAPING ugly hole wall in my first home I just bought and now have to bleed more money to get fixed.

Chris Caldera did an amazing job today. He solved a very difficult problem caused by a sloppy/unprofessional work by a previous company. He was very thorough in his problem solving.  And he never gave up to the challenge.  I thought my electrical panel issue was a hopeless case.  All I could do was pray that he figures out a way.  Thanks to his experience, knowledge and dedication, problem solved.  Best part is he saved us from more expensive repairs.  Not to mention the risk of fire.  I highly recommend Chris for any of your electrical repair needs.
