Plumbing Masters likes to advertise $93 or it's Free, but they should really advertise $93 or it's really $279. I had seen their ads and needed a drain cleaned, so I called for an appointment. I explained to the scheduler that everything was draining fine except for one bathroom sink, so it should have been clear that there wasn't a problem with the main sewer line. I scheduled an appointment for a few days later when I could be home to meet them. When the Plumbing Masters tech arrived, I showed him the sink and explained the problem. He told me that the $93 or it's free deal only applied if he only needed to snake out the main line through a ground level cleanout. He then informed me that to clear my sink drain would be $279 (amazingly three times more than they advertise). I said no thanks. The tech then told me he could only clean my drain for $93 if I had a cleanout in the bathroom exclusively for the sink. Since, like 99.99% of all other people, I don't have a cleanout dedicated to the bathroom sink, I declined. He left and it was free, so that part was true (although it was a waste of both of our time). Bottom line, I called another company that advertises in the newspaper for a $99 drain cleaning special. I described the same symptoms to them, and scheduled with them. Their tech came and cleaned out the drain and had it running great in less than half an hour. My advise is to save yourself the aggravation and call the other guys first.

I am formally writing this letter to this company, Penguin Air, to inform them of the complete and utter dissatisfaction that I have received for the last two weeks regarding my air conditioning unit. I have received horrible customer service to say the very least and have experienced horrific non-professional behavior from the technician that was continuously being sent to my home.
My issue began with a loud whirring noise from my AC unit that I could only describe it as that it sounded like it was struggling to turn on and at time would blow warm air throughout my home. Because I am leasing the home, I let my landlady know to which she did an amazing job getting someone to come check it out immediately the first time. At that time, I was told that the Unit was working perfectly fine and blowing cool air and was explained that the noise is normal due to the fact that it is turning on during the hottest parts of the day thus creating said noise. The noise kept reoccurring and when I notified my landlady, another technician, named Joey Miller was dispatched and again, I was told that everything was perfectly fine.
During this second attempt at trying to fix my AC, I explained to the technician, Joey Miller that the noise is loud and that warm air would blow, he insisted that there was nothing wrong. I then asked for him politely to leave my home as to his words, there was nothing to be done to an AC unit that is working just fine, but he had the audacity to refuse to leave stating, that [I] do not own this home and he had permission from the owner of the house to be here. I was absolutely appalled and disgusted that he told me this as he had no further business to be inside of MY home and argued to the fact that I did not own the house. What kind of company would allow such employees to speak to customers in such manner and REFUSE to leave their home! I personally had called Penguin Air to report this type of behavior to ensure that proper discipline had been instilled.
I ended up requesting another technician come to my home to have a second party take a look as I knew something was wrong. He then explained to me that looking into the unit, that the compressor was practically going to give out and that it needed to be replaced immediately along with other minor issues. One week later being yesterday afternoon, my AC unit has given out and does not turn out at all. I, once again let my landlady know what is going on and she called Penguin Air to return to my home immediately and to my surprise, the same technician named Joey Miller that refused to leave my home and insisted that nothing was wrong, was sent to my home. Upon his further inspection and my telling him of the findings of another outside technician, he confirmed that he was correct about the compressor going out and had been needing to be replaced for some time. I called again to express my discontent and follow up my previous phone call, and to find out that the first phone call about my horrible service had never been recorded!!
I could have avoided my AC unit being completely out, having to stay in a hot house in the middle of monsoon season and worrying about the two toddlers and our pets in the home, and having to spend EXTRA money out of pocket to purchase a portable AC unit just to keep some kind of cool air flowing through the current 92 degree temperature home. Were it not for my landlady, I would have gone elsewhere completely to have better service and a faster repair time then what I have experienced. Also, due to the disrespect that I was given for being ignored about my first phone call and the horrible service that I had experienced that was caused by Joey Miller, I will be leaving a review and possibly this entire letter on yelp, feedback and other websites to let possible clientele know and to receive a better service elsewhere
