We did a full remodel on our house. The original contractor kind of bailed on us and didn't finish some of the work. We called several companies to finish the job for us. Zach and Terrell finished our project in a matter of days. They came out and gave us an estimate and we were fortunate they could fit us in between jobs.

They installed a custom built in electric fireplace with designer touches. The work turned out amazing. In the past year we've probably had over 50 different companies in our house from plumbers to contractors to painters, etc. Peters Family Construction would get our #1 ranking out of all of them.

As soon as I bought a house I learned real quickly how hard it is to find a reliable contractor. I spent the better part of six months talking to flaky companies, companies that wanted to completely gouge me on cost, you name it.
I called Global Prevention Services and told them my situation of wanting to do a very small bathroom remodel and a new window. From the very beginning, Kimberly in the office was communicative with me every step of the way when it came to scheduling and project status. The window was on backorder for a couple of months and they were consistently keeping me updated with its status. Rudy came out to estimate the cost and came back with extremely reasonable numbers and even some recommendations for me when it came to design. Humberto did an absolutely amazing job on my bathroom remodel. I couldn't be happier. He was detailed, took his time to make sure it was perfectly done, and is such a sweet man.
Once I'm ready for my next home project I will without a doubt be calling Global Prevention Services.

We had a roof leak into a very small space behind our water heater. There was small water damage and a bit of mold. Other companies quoted us $1700-2700 because they wanted to remove the water heater. Elias was able to do it for a third of the price without removing the water heater! He was a great contractor to work with- let me know when he was on the way and was very understanding of our wanting to keep costs down. He did a great repair job and we plan to ask him to help us with other projects in the house. Thanks Elias!

"Champagne for the Price of Beer." I'll never forget the ad headline as my wife and I researched potential painters to refinish our new home prior to move-in. These folks were outstanding. Mr. McNeil offered very competitive pricing, but more importantly, he met the deadline, used quality interior paint, and went through an inspection prior to billing us. We had the work done in 2011, 7 years later, paint still looks great.

After interviewing (getting estimates) from 5-6 different companies, I liked Palmer's the best. From the initial estimate, to the last finishing touches to my bathroom remodel, they were professional, efficient and communicated every step along the way. I couldn't have asked for more. Their workers are very experienced in their craft and have different workers that specialize in each area. Jacqueline is awesome! I'm SO glad we found her on Thumbtack. We recently "blended" our homes and were feeling overwhelmed and wanted the advise of a professional. Merging "his" and "hers" can be a difficult and sensitive process. In addition, I had difficulty trying to merge the color scheme of our blended items. I struggled to put it all together without seeing it visually. We needed someone to give us their expertise so that we could proceed. I contacted Jacqueline and she was able to squeeze us in for a consultation . She is VERY personable and professional. We love how she is no nonsense and did not give us "fluff"- She is direct and to the point during the consultation and very patient with all my questions. We plan to use her throughout our process for guidance. I am delighted that she seems as interested in creating my home as I am. She has been in contact with ideas since our consultation via text answering any questions I have.

If you need work done for your bath or kitchen, this is the company to use.  This was our first remodel and I couldn't be happier with the results.  The team was amazing.  Tamara, our contact, was on top of everything, listened to our needs and helped us design the most amazing shower I have ever seen - I still can't believe it is OUR SHOWER!!!!  Justin, our contractor, was the best and easy to work with.  He was reliable, answered any questions we had, meticulous in his work and everyday of the remodel, he would clean up after himself so that we could still use some of our bathroom at night.  I just can't say enough!  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Jeremy the Handyman, of First Leaf Construction, quoted me $1,505.00 to hang several small sun shades in my backyard.  The work was completed a few months ago, with me providing the sun shades and Jeremy providing the miscellaneous hardware.  As you know we had some heavy winds the beginning of February and during that time the shades were blown down.  Several potted plants, cactus and strands of lights were destroyed, resulting in a few hundred dollars' worth of damage.  

I had two other contractors assess the installation.  Both contractors told me they would have installed the sun shades differently. Jeremy was contacted to access the damage and make the installation right.  Jeremy's solution was an additional estimate of $975 to reinstall the shades the way the other contractors would have done. I was not expecting any of the original damages to be reimbursed only that the shades be reinstalled and in a manner that they would not blow over in the next wind storm. I replied to the additional estimate of $975 with surprise and shocked that there would be an additional charge.  Jeremy then replied with "seek another vendor".
I then asked him to please come back and rehang the lights as they were originally.  No reply!
Today I received another email from Jeremy quoting a lower price on his 2nd estimate. After all of the above, he stated that he was clear on not being comfortable hanging the sails as others would have.  If he was not comfortable, why did he hang them initially and for 1505.00?

I feel I've been taken advantage of and am disheartened and disappointed that he did not stand by his work and make this small project right.

My family and I were dealing with the stress of moving from California to Arizona and we were scrambling to find a contractor to remodel the new home in under 5 weeks. What i found during this process was price gauging from so many other contractors until i found Quentin from Urban Element.  Quentin gave me confidence that he could do the job in under 5 weeks and on budget. Quentin communicated with me weekly and gave me progress reports/photos and never once asked for more money then what we had originally agreed on. The finish product far exceeded what I could imagine. Quentin and his crew takes pride in their craftsmanship. I would 100% recommend Quentin to anyone looking for a home remodel. Quentin if you are reading this, you still owe me a proposal to build out my home office ;-)

Our Kitchen Remodel was a long process, but the new custom cabinets, counter tops, electrical, drywall, plumbing, appliances, and painting process were finally completed.
The Backsplash, over the cooktop and counter, was the last step.
We contacted several installers from lists provided by the tile stores.
We received no return calls.
Finally, we decided to try Yelp. Our Yelp search for Backsplash installers listed Golden Bear Contracting.
We called Michael, the owner of Golden Bear Contracting.
He answered our call and said he could come out that afternoon and give us a quote.
We wanted to show Michael the tile we had selected and also the Mosaic we had purchased to go over the cooktop.
The Mosaic contained thousands of really small tiles, and we wanted to be sure Michael could install it.
He answered all of our questions about installing the Mosaic and gave us a few suggestions on outlining the Mosaic with darker "Pencil" tiles.
We decided on the spot that Michael was the contractor to do our installation.
He gave us a date about two-weeks out for the installation and we shook hands on the deal.
Michael arrived on the promised day at exactly 8am and got right to work.
The job was finished, as promised, around noon the next day.
Everything, including the mosaic, went perfectly.
The grouting and the tile sealing went smoothly and the finished product looks absolutely great.
His cleanup was spotless and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
We'll be remodeling our master bathroom next and we had Michael look at the bathroom and make suggestions.
Turns out that he actually specializes in Bathroom remodels.
We were very impressed with our backsplash and also with his suggestions on the bathroom remodel.
We've decided to call Michael when we're ready to tackle the bathroom.
He is very professional, courteous, punctual and, when it comes to tile, he's Great.

Set up time for estimate visit--- he texted saying he was running late---2 hours later he was still 20 mins away. No thanks.
