Usually when you use a company that charges a lot, you get excellent customer service which includes a willingness to make things right when there is a dispute.
This was not my experience with Goodroad who, after adjusting watering times on my drip system clock, refused to accept that the reason all my plants died was because they had programmed the timer incorrectly. Robbie continued to push back even after I demonstrated to her that the unit was functioning fine but had faulty programming. She blamed dust storms, power outages, timer firmware, and even my reluctance to change the backup battery several times a year. Computers do funny things she told me. Yeah, I'm a tech geek - you're not going to pull that one over on me. Eventually she reluctantly claimed to take responsibility for the error and agreed to replace the dead plants which were barely a month old.
The low point to this fiasco was when I saw her at Sprinkler World (she didn't see me) and overheard her talking trash about me and the dead plant situation. She suggested to the staff that I had somehow altered the programming in the timer after she left in order to get her to have to replace $300 worth of plants. Right - I'd lie to get her to replace perfectly good plants because that somehow benefits me. Coincidentally, my bill was $300 above average the month that she agreed to replace the plants for free. There hasn't been a problem with the timer since all this happened.
With a remodel underway and a new baby coming in January I haven't made the time to replace Goodroad, but I plan to. It's too bad - she has a knack for putting together a great looking yard.
Robbie is very creative, but you pay top dollar for it and you don't get professionalism if you end up in a dispute. Nothing is ever her fault, even when it plainly is.

Contacted Jake after reading the reviews and glad I did make that call. Jake came out and gave me a bid on adding more gravel to the back and front yard as well as reseeding the grass area and replacing the sprinkler heads that save on water. Jake found a leak in the irrigation system and got it fixed. When the project was completed, Jake made sure everything was cleaned up.

Bennett Landscaping seems to really stick out in an area with tons of fly by night landscaping companies. It seems to be a small family business with great customer service and reasonable pricing. The guys put a lot of time and effort into fixing up my yard, way more than I expected. It really looks nice and they seem to be one of those rare businesses that truly take pride in their work.

Tyler was quick to respond to my call and to come out and look at my project. He indicated he would provide and mock up and estimate within a few days but never followed up. I'm not sure if he was under the impression I wasn't willing to pay or just had other projects he preferred but it's unprofessional to ghost someone. All he needed to say was after further consideration your project is not for me.

Miguel did great work at first, he was with me for three months. Maintaining my business landscaping, and doing great work. I pay him $140 a visit, and according to my cameras his crew is on site never longer than 24 minutes. That equates to $350 per hour, a hefty price but well worth it in my opinion, for great work.
However in my most recent experience I found not only has his work changed, he personally has become very rude. After this service I found that there were hundreds of grass blades and weeds coming through the desert landscape that had not been handled during their service. I reached out to Miguel via text and asked that he send his crew out again to address the grass/weeds. He quickly called to tell me that he sprayed them himself so he knows they were already handled. I asked, shouldn't they be turning color and dying 5 days later, he said Yes the spray must not have worked and that he's not sure why. He agreed to come back out and respray.
The next morning I receive an angry text that says This is the first and the last time I will be doing this I spray this morning and the little rain we got this morning wash out the product tomorrow I will stop by again tomorrow and spray next time I will charge you for doing this.
I decided to call Miguel since text can lead to misunderstandings, and angry words. Miguel answered very rudely, treating me like I had done something wrong, not like I was his client! He was talking over me, and told me it was not his fault that the product didn't work, and that he doesn't need customers acting like BLEEPS... Gasp, I ended the call with saying that it's time to cease our relationship goodbye.
I am not sure what has happened to Miguel Espinosa and his landscaping and Irrigation Business, however I do know this, Poor, Rude behavior, accompanied by attacking and name calling a client who never has called you and complained, Zelle's you money every time without question... in a Service industry this is unacceptable behavior that leads to failure. I hope you get things figured out sooner rather than later. Your'e Fired!

I loved that B&G texted me within five minutes of my rating on yelp and made an appointment today between 4 and 6 PM. I waited I had confirmed the appointment and no one showed or wrote back to me. There were other landscapers that reached out but I told them that I already had an appointment today. Very disappointed.

Fantastic landscaping company with reasonable prices. Had them trim my 50 foot tall palm trees and they looked spectacular. He immediately picks up the phone when you call them or will get back to you in a few minutes. They scheduled me for the following day and were there promptly on time.
