This is a father (auggie) and son (Jesse) company!  A referral to us by Frank's lawn grading and demo. Initial consult with Jesse: very friendly, very honest, kind and knew exactly what we wanted to do. We were installing a pool, turf and pavers by another company, pool barrier company. A lot of different companies who all needed to work together. Jesse was patient in the fact that he had to come multiple days to complete the work. Mostly having to wait for other companies to finish their work before he could start.  Great communication and arrived promptly each day for work. Was also very upfront about how he collects deposit to start work and for materials.

We had Jessie and Auggie build a retaining wall for our turf, repaired our gate which was damaged during construction, installed a back-spring on the gate to pass inspection, rebuilt the column for the gate (previous company filled the column with dirt and rocks). Jesse corrected by filling with cement, repaired our driveway of pavers which was also damaged during construction.

Jesse and his crew, will return to build a platform for our pool.

My girlfriend and I used VETSBuilt to renovate our house after refinancing our house. We were so excited for the house to have a makeover and truly be turned into a home for our family. My girlfriend is a retired combat medic for the army so we were even more excited to use a veteran run company. I would like to warn those of you looking to use this company against it. Our house is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but there were so many mistakes, short cuts, and then there is the fact that there is no warranty on the work.                              -Before beginning the renovation I has asked Bob if I should patch the holes in the house and remove all of the nails/tacks/staples/etc. He had told me not to worry and that the painters would take care of it. The painters failed to remove those items and I know have the pleasure of continuing to remove them and repaint where they were. The holes were patched in a rushed manner. When the sun hits the patches just right, you can see where the left over spackle was smeared over the walls and the hole. Then there is the clean up for the painters. They left paint over numerous light fixtures, baseboards, the new floor, and the ceiling.                     -We originally wanted to get cabinets from Home Depot and had picked out the design and received a quote. Bob told us that his cabinet guy was the best. This was not true. The cabinet guy, his name is Jaime, was far from the best. After having sat down with both Bob and Jaime to design the cabinets, as Bob told us the ones we wanted from Home Depot were no good, the cabinets were designed ENTIRELY wrong. The design was similar to the old cabinetry that we were tossing. We informed Bob, who had told us he remembered the design we chose and agreed the ones built were not what we were paying for. The cabinets were never replaced and we received $500 off for something we didn't want. There were further issues with the cabinets when Bob failed to communicate with his guy that we were no longer able to afford a new vanity for our master bathroom. We had told him we didn't want the vanity but Bob had arranged a deal with Jaime that we could keep this vanity for free...another way to make up for the entire kitchen being done wrong. The vanity was also designed wrong, the drawers require so much force to be opened that most of the time you end up whacking yourself in the leg or crotch. I told Bob this too, and despite him also having difficulties opening the drawers and him watching me attempt to open the drawer and having it hit me in the crotch, he said it would be okay over time. To this very day, I still hit myself. The hinges used by the cabinet guy were put on in a rushed manner, Bob claimed that clients make his guy nervous (we were never in the house when he was here) and one of the cabinet doors is beginning to fall off the hinge. Bob did make an attempt to have Jaime fix the spice rack and the missing stain on the island cabinetry. However, when Jaime arrived he had stated Bob never told him about needing to bring stain to finish the island, I texted Bob right there on the spot and he told me that Jaime doesn't understand English very well so he must not have known what he was talking about.                                 -The floor we had put in began to pop up after Bob's crew left. Bob had the floor installed by someone now well versed in the type of floor we were putting in, the subfloor was uneven and despite putting down the moisture barrier pad, it didn't help - there are spots that sag and where the boards pop. The company we wanted to use would have leveled the sub floor and saved us the hassle of continuously bouncing as we walk through the house. Bob did the measurements for the house to determine how much of the flooring we needed to purchase. He measured wrong every time. I believe we had to make 2 extra trips to the store to get more flooring...which wasn't in the budget. This just seems like a rookie mistake for a contractor. And it was costly.                                                        -We had the master bathroom renovated. The crew Bob used for this portion was very nice. Other than cleaning their equipment down the shower drain and toilet, their tile work looks and is amazing. No flaws! The shower that Bob had done for us is beautiful, but leaks. The joints where the glass meet have not been sealed properly and water spills out onto the floor in a large puddle.                                                                 Like I said, we had huge hopes for our experience and partnership with this company. And it fell short. All of the issues listed above were addressed with Bob directly. Unfortunately, while he talks to you about wanting things to be perfect, and how he understands wanting things done right because you're paying for it - its a lie. Provided very reasonable estimate for my small 10x16 shed.  Finished the job the following week. Excellent workmanship and fully satisfied with results.

TOO many positive comments to make for this company; not only worked with my schedule, but EXTREMELY great pricing and workmanship!

My older home needed some cosmetic and structural updates, and Jesus was able to provide what I was looking for, while also providing helpful suggestions and direction for the project. He and his crew did excellent work at an affordable price. I will 100% be using them for my next project.

Preach helped me with much of my landscaping/ rock and masonry needs. They were very polite, professional, and responsive. Don, the manager, went above and beyond to really help me out in a time of need and I couldn't ask for better service! Definitely would recommend this business.

Amazing service received by RC Demolition on our bathroom remodel project. After a site visit to get some measurements, Leslie walked me through the process, pricing, and kept me in loop every step of the way. Demolition went exactly to plan, the crew was attentive and courteous. I appreciate the job that was done at my house. I will definitely be using RC Demolition on future projects.

Called and left a message. Returned call within a couple hours. I received 3 quotes. Cesar was not the lowest but not the highest. Went with him even though no Yelp reviews. So glad I did. Great job, as promised. This guy loves what he does and it shows in the quality of his work. Have recommended him to others and will call him for my next job.

Kayla, Jodi, and Richard were amazing! To start, I first contacted Sledge in April of 2017 (great experience).  It took a while before we were ready to actually do the work, but when I called them back up in October of 2018 (a year and a half later), they honored the original quote!  Jodi was fantastic to work with to get the job completed and everything went like clockwork. Jim and his crew are great! They replaced our rickety old wooden fence with an extra high block concrete wall and beautiful iron/wood gate. Everything he quoted and estimated was exactly accurate. The wall turned out great, right on budget, and in the time frame that was estimated. They were on site every morning at the time they projected and were pleasant to work with. They even hauled away extra dirt and other additional materials that were not part of the original agreement. That made a huge difference for me.

If you just want to know whether Desert Crest is a company worth working with, than the answer is a deafening Yes. Jesse bent over backwards and went above and beyond with helping us stay within what we could afford. Where other companies were inflexible and cut features left and right, he figured out ways to give us the features we needed, but on a smaller more affordable scale. He was very professional and his team worked faster than I thought possible. They were even nice enough to haul some garbage cluttering our back yard during a dump run they had to do. At the end of the day, he took the front of our home from an eye sore, to one where  multiple neighbors have felt the need to stop their cars and tell us how beautiful our yard is. I hired Chad Hale and Unique Solutions in January 2016 because he came across as a solid Christian guy who would stand behind his 2 year warranty commitment.  I knew he wasn't licensed but I looked past that.  Big mistake that I will never make again.  Always hire a licensed contractor.  One thing Chad put in was new grass and an in-ground sprinkler system.  Because the grading of the lawn was done so poorly, I have some areas of my backyard that are continually soaked, including gravel areas that are not supposed to get water and other areas that are bone dry.  As a result, a lot of my grass has died and the ground around my pool pump is constantly soaked, which causes erosion.  Also, the water stake that they put by my new Chinese Pistache tree is right next to the trunk when it's suposed to be one foot away. Eventually the roots will break the stake and no more water, which will kill the tree.  I have tried since April 1st to get Chad to come back.  These are not quick fixes but they are not major ones either. Chad has had every excuse in the world not to return - he doesn't work with Unique Soutions anymore, he is not well enough to work in the heat, his partner Khal has to approve it and won't, it wasn't his fault........!    Well, it wasn't too hot in April and May, Chad.  Where were you then?  A man is only as good as his word and I had Chad's word that he would back up all his work.  So far he hasn't done that.  I kept my word and paid him on time.  Almost $5000.  And all I got was a mediocre job and no warranty!
