I will quote my husband, parenthesis is mine: It took'em all morning, from 8 - noon to remove that big ol cactus (saguaro with four arms). They were intent, careful and meticulous at there work. I was in awe of the whole process. The necessary equipment, time and skill, the know how. I took several pictures so you could see the process.

A little background of how they came to do the job: I am retired local truck driver in the construction industry and have seen this process done many times, transporting and planting big saguaro's, even the pineapple palms. My husband being from England said, you'll never find someone to take those! Ha! Do your research I said! Huge market for them. Amazingly, his post on FB got some to do research and called. Asked why we wanted them gone? Small property, they overpowered the yard and getting bigger! And the thorns also get in the dogs pads and such. Not to mention we are planting vegetable garden out front. The surprisingly supply a lot of shade. not to mention thorny...So when I posted my add in craigslist free saguaro's and palm trees I was very specific in my request. You must have the equipment and so on. So when I was bombarded with calls I was so glad I already had the education of doing this job right! I couldn't believe the response I got! They were even willing to come all the way from Tucson to take them. In my correspondence with Yvonne (great person to work with by the way), I had to put everything on hold, so I could think, am I really doing the right thing here? The saguaro's were an added bonus when I bought the place being a Phoenician. Yvonne, smart lady offered a few bucks for the big one, knowing she'll get what it's worth. Which was the one I had a hard time parting with. I named it Trump tower in 2016... two birds nests... desert condo for wild life... I had a real hard time parting with her... the sphere, no big deal... so I took a few days to think about it,final decision; go ahead and take her...

Great job. They were very respectful of the property. Asked how and what can get moved to get to the job at hand. Very meticulous. There is just a small circle of dirt, maybe 3' diameter at most. No hole, no mound, clean flat surface. Did I say great Job? Well, this is the team of people you want doing this important work. Giving new life to the protected Saguaro's.

I've seen ignorant people cut them in sections and hauled to the dump...

Few day's after they came for the second one, Yvonne sent photo's of their new home! My heart melted... great placement!!!! Perfect spots in a desert landscape.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Had the pleasure of working with Jesse and he did not disappoint. Texted status and showed up early, talked over options and got straight to work. Made sure everything was cleaned up and walked me through the Bermuda reseeding and watering times and duration. Lawn has been done and I will update in a few weeks to show new growth.

These guys are service oriented  and they do a good job  they communicate well and are on time .

They were helpful and professional throughout the process. Diane in the office took care of everything including scheduling someone to spread the rock (John, very reasonable and great work). When we decided to get more rock at the last minute they accommodated us. Very happy!

Nick and his team did an amazing job. Nick worked with me to tailor the design to our needs, finished the job when he promised, and kept me updated daily to what was going on. I highly recommend calling Nick for your needs.

Alex  Has been landscaping my friend's property for 15 years. He shows up with a smile, on time and when he says he will. I would have no qualms suggesting him for any senior as I feel he is very honest and accommodating.

Judging by other reviews, I decided to call JLC. Three days and a second  voicemail later I still haven't heard from them. Pro tip for JLC: you tend to lose potential customers when you don't respond to them. Not a great business strategy.

They may be very, very good and very reasonably priced but I'll never know. Time to move on and find a company that is interested in earning my business.

I really appreciate this family owned business and their crew.  The guys are always professional and courteous.  It is so nice to know that things are taken care of each month and if they say they will do something they do it at the price quoted.  They are AWESOME!!!

Mr. Parks is my landscape-artist. The work cannot be bettered. He is not merely efficient but approaches the garden as a thing of grace and beauty. Then, too, he studies the issues from an engineering aspect. He performs orthopedic work on trees to give them support and take weight off of structures that could be damaged. He's the hundred point man. I recommend him beyond reproach.  Jim Seletz

Based on Yelp reviews, I called Mr. Torres for an estimate to weed whack and rake up my back yard.
Pros: Mr. Torres answered his phone immediately and stated he could come and give an estimate in 2 hours.
Cons: It took 4 hours, not 2 for Mr. Torres to show up. His estimate was nearly 3 times what I paid another landscaper for the same work earlier this year ($200 for Mr. Torres versus $70 for the other landscaper). Mr. Torres also told me that they do not rake up the yard, they just use leaf blowers.

The reviewer who stated that Mr. Torres speaks English well was overly generous. I could barely understand him and he certainly had a hard time understanding me. My street name has exactly 6 letters in it and he asked me to spell eight times, each time more slowly. In the end I was spelling the six letters slower than I would have to for my 4 year old granddaughter to write it down.

In the end, I thanked Mr. Torres for his time and estimate and decided to go with another landscaper.

What a refreshing level of service. We had called three other businesses before finding Romero. Two never even bother to call back. The third set an appt and never showed up. Romero not only responded to our inquiry, he came out the same day to give us an estimate. His team was curteous and worked hard to doing a one time clean up (2 acres). We have scheduled him to continue to do regular service, very happy with price and service. Good value. Absolutely recommend.this is legit business.

Seth was responsive and took extra care beyond the actual job itself. Highly recommend.

Justin, Julio and the rest of the crew at Rockworks are great.  They redid our entire backyard and changed it from something we dreaded looking at to something we are very proud of.  So much of the workmanship like the coping over the pool was done by hand, and done very well.

As an update--our backyard is now 1.5 years old.  One of the pavers had come lose a bit.  A quick email to Justin and in a few days he and Julio were out to do the repair at no charge.

I have been trying to reach Eric (owner) for over a week now and have left several messages and reached out through his website as well.  I have never received a call back.  I am trying to get him to take on both my home and my parent's home.  Business must be booming if he won't return a call.  Very poor customer service-

Sergio's Lawn Service is a terrible company who charged for services they did not perform at an address we did not live at.  I would only recommend this company if you want your bank account charged for services you didn't even authorize.
