It was great dealy directly with the owner of the company! Irene put a huge amount of personal attention into our backyard and exceeded our expectations! Crew worked really hard, cleaned up daily, finished early and knew what they were doing! We had them add a patio and complete backyard makeover. Could not be happier! A referral from our designer, we love this outfit. We had them replace the complete irrigation system of our entire property, and install high-quality, realistic, pet-friendly artificial turf in our backyard. The lead Mike did a great job of working w/ us to get us what we wanted, and Jesse & his crew were dynamite: professional, detailed, hard-working, meticulous, friendly, and punctual every day. We needed our front yard completed quickly and with in a reasonable price we are young new homeowners are are working with in a strict budget. The guys at landscaping Ortiz we're AMAZING!! They showed up when they said they were and we're always responsive and completed the job VERY quickly!! We will definitely use them again and I would suggest them to anyone.

They answered my inquiry in a few hours and actually came by the next morning and I had an in-person bid less than 24 hours. And let me tell you : IT WAS 35% LESS than other bids - and YES THEY ARE INSURED for 2 million (I asked for a copy of their insurance coverage they gladly provided via text in minutes).
They were able to come the next morning for this VERY LARGE dead pine tree and spent 9 hours completing the job. No mess, no damage around it and it was NOT easy where this giant tree was located in my fenced in back yard. ANd in 112 degree heat all day! Totally clean when done and all of the 4 men were very polite to my wife when she checked on them several times and ... it was simply a PERFECT DEAL and RESULT. I will ONLY use them for any such issues in the future.
PLEASE consider this group of guys... they are hard working and darn good at what they do!

Miguel set an appointment with me to come take a look and give me an estimate for the job and he never showed up and never heard back from him.

Sal's team was very responsive and communicative. They knocked out a landscape cleanup (removed a hot tub stand/deck), irrigation repairs, planted a new tree, and laid down new sod.

I totally stood this guy up for our appointment on accident. He was super punctual, and super professional in his messaging. I'm hoping to get him back to my house.

I just wanted to write a review about this company and especially Pablo and his brother Carlos and their whole team.  I had been wanting to redo part of my backyard for a long time.  I called several companies, most never called back, 1 came out and gave me an estimate and then never called back.  I got a response from Pablo and he came out the next day.  I told him what I was sort of thinking and he immediately started brainstorming and really got what I was wanting. He sent me a quote and it was reasonable (lower then he other guy).  He started the next week.  It took them 2 1/2 days to finish.  They laid tons of river rock, made an incredible path with crushed gravel.  He made a border all around with metal edging AND added a ton of desert landscaping.  The whole team worked quickly and cleaned up everything.  I can't really put in words how much I love what they did.  I'm sure it has increased the value of my home.  If you want to hire a great team that takes immense pride in their work you don't have to look any farther.

I needed to do some yard cleaning, sprinkler repair, plant my satsuma orange, and George did it all!! I will now consider him my yard handyman, and I will definitely call him when I need more work done..

Had an amazing experience with Happy Tree.

I work for a business that had multiple trees that needed grooming as well as yard clean up. Paul came out within a day to quote me on the work and gave a very reasonable and fair price.

The work was done around our construction crews that we have onsite which was a stipulation of mine. They came in on a Sunday performed all work asked and did a stellar job. The place and trees look great!

They are always on time and do a fantastic job. They repaired our stucco and cleaned up our backyard. I can't say enough good thing about their work.

Absolutely amazing experience for my first big home renovation ever! I reached out to JNK back in November 2020 to get an idea of what it would take redo my entire backyard. I wanted to do about 1400sqft of turf and about 350sqft of pavers in various places. Devin came out and we walked my backyard and I laid out the design plan I had. Devin provided some great recommendations for some areas that were a little tricky (I have palms trees very close to the rear wall so getting a paver border behind them wouldn't have worked).

I thought the initial quote was very reasonable, but since it was my first project I wanted to do my due diligence so I spoke with 2 other companies. JNK absolutely blew those quotes out of the water and I didn't feel as comfortable with either of those reps as I did with Devin. I reached back out to Devin on Thursday, February 25th (the delay from November to February was all on me, not on JNK) to let him know that I was ready to schedule my project, but that I had some changes to the design that I wanted to discuss.

Devin came back out to the property on Thursday, March 4thand we discussed the changes I wanted to make and an overall timeline of when the project could be completed. I also asked specifically about grey pavers because both of the other companies told us that it would take 4-6 weeks to get them due to the high demand. When I asked Devin about this, he assured me that they would be able to get them in a timely manner.

Let me tell you, a timely manner is completely underselling how fast we had them. I paid the deposit on Friday, March 5th and later that day 4 pallets of grey pavers arrived at my house. Devin reached out and told me that they would be installing them somewhere between Monday (March 8th) and Wednesday (March 10th). Devin and his crew arrived Tuesday, March 9th and installed all of the pavers. They then arrived on Wednesday, March 10th and installed all of the turf.

The whole yard was done in 2 days and in less than week after I paid the deposit to get on the schedule. These guys were so great and super communicative throughout the whole process! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to due a project on their yard. When I do the front yard next year I will definitely be calling JNK.

Yes I'm aware that this got ridiculously long but I'm frustrated to say the least.

Now understand that I'm not a new customer, I've been with them for about a year. The crew had been doing a decent job maintaining my lawn. The problems started when we moved and had to switch the maintenance service to a different address. Seems simple enough right? Come give me a new estimate and send the crew to start on my new place after we move.

I informed them even before we moved and gave them the date and new address. First of all, you're lucky if anyone even picks up the phone, and then you leave voice messages that gets ignored. I left 2 voice mails that never got acknowledged. Then I finally spoke to Joanna who said Eli would be down to my new house asap to give me an estimate.

Days later, I called again and there began the merry go round of Eli claiming that he spoke to my spouse, (never happened), emailing an estimate that we never got it, not even in spam mail so who knows,  Eli saying my front lawn has grass when it's all desert landscape so I THINK he went to the wrong address but Joanna had no idea and couldn't confirm so I still don't know what happened there. And it's not like we're in a hard to find part of town, it's only about A MILE AWAY from my old place. So I had to wait again for him to do another estimate. That took forever. They finally gave me one and promised to come this week . No one has showed up since. Considering it's a long holiday weekend tomorrow, it's obviously a no show with zero communication as to why. What a complete and utter waste of my time

And as of today (3rd July) I still have not received any response to my email a week ago giving a start date or or any acknowledgement when I finally emailed them to ask them to cancel my account. Keep in mind that I'm a paying customer and here I am left wondering if they even care. After nearly a month of waiting, calls and emails, I have been more than humanly patient in giving them the benefit of the doubt. All this for a simple change of maintenance address is absolutely RIDICULOUS.

It is unprofessional that a problem persist with barely any followup effort from AMS nor should it be MY responsibility to have to keep chasing after them like I had to. It's also incredibly disrespectful to waste my time like this. Their communication is just  horrible and customer service is obviously not their priority after they got your business.

So this epic essay is to say -  DO NOT USE AMS if you value your precious time and sanity. There are too many other companies out there who are hungry for your business to deal with so much incompetency. Sure it starts out well but heaven help you if you need any sort of help or changes to your service later on because then it all goes straight . to . hell.

Company reached out stating they wanted to come do a walkthrough and provide estimate; advised I am anytime during week.  They asked for cross streets , of which I provided, and after that never heard back from the company.

Adam and Natalie, the whole team, was amazing! Our yard was a total disaster, and needed a ton of work. Other companies wouldn't even touch it but Adam didn't skip a beat. He (and his whole team) was reliable, took the time to talk to us and explain things, and we always felt they were there for us. I would recommend them to anyone with no hesitation

They did a great job! The owner came out gave a quote and was back the next morning to do the work. The pictures speak.

Needed our irrigation system repaired and this team came so quickly and fixed it right up. Great work and very nice and reliable! Would recommend to everyone!

Juan came out for an estimate.  Very nice and prompt, however we never received a follow up with an estimate.  It's been about 2 months.  
You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.

Update to Original Review

I received the quote from Juan this morning (a few hours after original post).   Looks like he did send the quote mid-December 2021, however I never received the quote.   I'm changing my rating and will update if we chose this contractor for our project.

Very pleased with the work they did to repair the leak on my sprinkler system.  Reasonably priced and kept coming back to make sure I was satisfied with the work that was done. After the original repair was done there was a new leak that had nothing to do with the part that was fixed and he returned to fix the new leak in a timely manner.  Very nice to work with. Excellent service, price and work. I would highly recommend.
