Reading some of Gary's negative reviews it seems that a lot of people have had similar experiences. Gary might be able to do some quality work, but I wouldn't know because he's just not professional at all.

We reached out to Gary after buying a new house in Arcadia a while back and he told us that whenever we were ready he could help us with installing ceiling fans, blinds, and whatever we may need (score!) but when we called him back to schedule something he was sick and told me he would call me back in a week.

A week goes by with no phone call, so I call him-- but no answer... and his vm is full. so I waited a couple more days and called him again, still no answer; so this time I followed up with a text asking if he was still interested in helping us out with our handyman needs and he replied yes and to let him know when we would like him to come help.

Perfect! I called him when I got back to Phoenix and he didn't answer (of course), so I texted asking when he was available and he asked if he could schedule me in for between 1-2pm on Thursday. Yes I replied, then I texted asking him a couple questions about estimates for hanging large blinds and included photos. He ignored my texts that night about the quote/estimate altogether, so I texted asking if he received my messages requesting an estimate to which he replied "Yes, I'll look at them when I'm at your house." (Not really an answer or estimate- kind of slippery).

So today rolls around and of course I'm at home waiting on this handyman to show up (of course I organized my day around him) 14 minutes before he was due for our appointment, he cancels.

He says: "Can we meet Saturday 9-930? Caught up in work."
(No apology for the inconvenience, or wasting my time, just a crap text).

Me: "You know Gary, let me talk to my boyfriend about it. After reading your Yelp! reviews we expected a little more professionalism to be honest."

He says: "Well I've been sick for the last month and been out of commission. I've been trying to catch up on my jobs. Sorry if you feel that way. I know I can't make everyone happy.

Me: "It's not a feeling. You cancelled 15 minutes before you were scheduled to show up and have been unresponsive and not very communicative with me. Those are facts. While I understand it's impossible to make everybody happy, you could do a much better job by being a little more professional.

Then-- radio silence.

Gary, you can make customers happy; how about apologizing when you're wrong and unprofessional instead of #1: making excuses, then #2: blaming me, or acting like I'm the one with unrealistic expectations when I've accommodated the date and time YOU chose and then flaked on. Would not recommend.

I had a variety of things I needed done and Luis was really well rounded at being able to do everything I needed. He fixed my kitchen cabinets and installed new bathroom faucets at a very reasonable price. I was so happy with his work that I scheduled a follow up with him to fix some other things around my house.

Contracted this company for hanging new coach lights. Not one complaint. From scheduling all the way through install it went smooth and as promised. We even added one light that we had forgot about. No complaints just looked at it as part of the job. Sorry I forgot the installers name, but he did a complete and thorough job. Will use again and I do recommend.

I highly recommend this service. The communication and follow through could not be better. I hired them to dismantle a Murphy bed from one room and reinstall it in another room. It actually is not a very easy feat, requires special tools because it needs to be anchored in four places to the concrete floor, and takes two because the material is so heavy. They did a great job. And I'm extremely appreciative of their high-quality Covid sensitivity and precautions.

I am so pleased with Stan's service!  First off, he returned my call.  I am actually shocked at how many independently owned businesses in this area won't do that much.  He stopped by the same day to look at the job.  After installing a new front door, I needed the ceramic tiles replaced along the threshold since the footprint of the new one was different.  Although he was busy, he told me he would follow-up the next week.  AND HE DID!  I didn't even have to call him back.

He came with an assistant because he was so busy and they got the old tiles removed and the new ones in within a few hours.  He didn't want to grout until the tile was well-set so he left for a few hours and came back to finish the job.  Although he doesn't do a lot of tile, Stan did an excellent job in matching the grout lines.  Not an easy feat given the idiot who installed it the first time failed to do that.

Chris is a wonderful person, very kind & had helped me so much especially during the most difficult time of my life. Thank you so much for helping me fix my door last night & adding the smart lock. He did an excellent job, trustworthy person & highly recommended. The fastest service response on yelp out of 15 different handyman/ companies I have contacted, he was the quickest to respond. He was very considerate and I appreciate him coming through on a very short notice.

GREAT service!  had a repair needed quickly on my shower that broke (and wouldn't stop running!) and they came out this morning quickly and got it repaired fast!  Very reasonable pricing and professional and knowledgeable service tech!

Mr. Garcia came to my house ASAP. He  did a quick nice job cutting in pieces an old dishwasher which could not be removed in any other way. He worked carefully and quickly and cleaned up the work area. I will be using him again soon for some drywall repair, painting and plumbing work. I highly recommend you get a quote from him and try him on your next home repair.

We have been working with Mike at Copper State Home Maintenance and Repair on a few projects at home . I would highly recommend him, he is trustworthy and very reasonably priced . He lives in central phoenix as well, check out his website for all the details.  I usually text him for quotes and he is very responsive and has a great attitude. I was referred to him by the Nextdoor app!!!

Great service all around, answered the phone professionally and with energy! Scheduled the appointment and he was ON TIME a very rare thing with a lot of guys! He quoted me a price and it took him a little longer and didn't charge me extra (The tip was well deserved) He really seems to have attention to detail when it comes to everything and cleans up very well after himself. I have sent his number out to several of my co workers already because I know there will come a time that he will be needed for them! Highly recommend him for anything!
