Bluegrass Rooter Plumbing Heat & Air

I called Bluegrass Rooter when my HVAC suddenly began running hot. Although, they had a busy schedule, I was able to get service sooner than later. Ron and Chris communicated when they would arrive and if they were experiencing delays from previous repair projects. Not only did they repair my HVAC, they returned to repair a kitchen faucet and leaking toilet on a separate trip. Ron is very knowledgeable and has over 20 years of experience and interesting life stories. Cool guy!

I discovered our HVAC leaking water on a Saturday night. Called Bluegrass Sunday morning and they were at my house by noon. Quickly unclogged my drain line and gave me tips for how to prevent it from clogging in the future. Great service!

It was apparent within seconds of entering our kitchen that Ron was experienced. Leaks from our faucet prompted me to have a new one installed and while Ron showed great care, it was still done swiftly. He also solved a problem with a toilet on the same floor and didn't charge a ridiculous price. All done with a smile. Will definitely hire again. Thanks, Ron!

Woke up Sunday to a hot house and immediately started calling around for someone to come out. Bluegrass was the first place to pick up my call. Spoke with Ron who was very nice, explained he had one job in progress outside of Lexington but would come by right after. 2 hrs later he called to let me know he was on the way. His visit was very pleasant, prompt, and productive and I was relieved when he showed me a corroded battery as the culprit. He fixed it quick, went on his way, and we were cool once again. Will definitely keep as my go to guy going forward.

UPDATE: Bluegrass Rooter comes through for us AGAIN! My husband noticed our heater fan/motor wasn't working correctly. We immediately call Bluegrass knowing they were honest from our last repair of the plumbing issue we had. Ron called us back in a short time and was out within a few hours. He has truly been a God send for us. It's been cold and I'm so thankful for Ron and Bluegrass Rooter.

Absolutely excellent! I called Bluegrass Rooter after another company couldn't come out when it promised. I'm so glad they canceled! I called Ron Derington at Bluegrass Rooter and he came out the next day.

He also saved me thousands of dollars. The prior company was going to overcharge me for stuff I didn't need. Ron diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it the same day. Granted, this was an easy small fix. Your problem may be much different.

But call Bluegrass Rooter first! You won't be disappointed. And you can be secure in that you're getting great work done by a professional at a fair price.

Main drain to sewer was backing up. Called and Ron was just finishing another job and was able to come out. Cleared the drain with no problem. Professional, courteous, great experience

I called Ron first thing in the morning for a shower that wouldn't turn off. He got to us in the afternoon and fixed it in no time. His price was very reasonable.  I can definitely recommend him and would use his services again.

I've tried several local plumbers but I have to say that Ron with Bluegrass Rooter is the best I have found.  He fixes it right the first time and doesn't just temporarily fix the problem.  I highly recommend!

I have used Bluegrass Rooter for a variety of services over the years: diagnostic and fixing of the pipe into the sewer line, (he even had a worker help me to smooth out the dirt), checking my heating and air  including fastening of duct work, and plumbing for shower, toilet, and outside spicket.  Ron has always done quality work. I am very satisfied.

Very friendly, and reliable. He came and replaced my sump pump and worked quickly and efficiently. He is now my go to for any plumbing, heating or air!

Thieves!!! I worked with Ron and Chris at Bluegrass Rooter. What a horrible mess. They were to add a new bathroom in my basement and replace all the plumbing in the house. I didn't know when I hired them that Ron had let his master plumber license expire so l had no chance of getting this done in the first place. They said it would take a month. Fast forward six months later and I'm begging them to come finish the job. They said, give us the rest of the payment and we will get it to pass inspection this week. So I gave them $5000 and they never called me back again. I had to spend $9000 to get all the plumbing fixed by another plumber in order for it to pass inspection. And I still haven't passed inspection because they did such a terrible job that needs so much work. I left at least 100 messages, because they don't answer their phone EVER and they don't have a brick and mortar storefront. So once they have your money they can disappear and never be found. Do not use this company. Ron is a thief!
Edit- I just read his response back to me. He says I never contacted him again. WRONG! He blocked me on his personal phone. I left nearly 100 voicemails on his business phone and he never responded back. He left me in such a terrible jam. He is blaming this all on his employees and on me. Well guess what Ron, YOU ARE THE OWNER! You should take care of their mistakes. You are a sorry excuse for a person and a thief. He's trying to act so nice like he cares. If he cared he would show up and fix my plumbing that he messed up. Pathetic.

My split AC system stopped working. The owner of Bluegrass Rooter shows up and he troubleshot multiple things before arriving at the fact the compressor was shot and needed to be replaced.  A second company came out and literally looked at my unit and said I needed a new system.  Bluegrass Rooter now has a lifelong customer.  Any plumbing or AC problems will go to Bluegrass Rooter Plumbing.

You want the best call the best Bluegrass Rooter is the best company in the local area. But you no don't take my word for it Ron and Chris work speaks for its self. Both are well experience in all forms of plumbing and heating and air together they have Over 20 years experience in service work. They were two of the very first to do trenchless drain lines and have never failed to get the pipe laid in place were other inexperienced plumbers say it can't be done they say it can and they get it done with a 10 year warranty to stand behind there work. When it comes to service ,knowledge and workman ship there's none better just ask there many many satisfied customers and just don't take are word for it let there work speak for it's self . Bluegrass Rooter the only service company your ever need are want.

Unresponsive to call in emergency situation. Left message but they never bothered to return call.

My AC went out on a Friday afternoon before a 90-degree weekend. I called and made an appointment for 9:00 on Monday morning. Ron Derington came to my house, quickly assessed the issue, located the parts (not easy since my unit dates from 1987!), and installed them, all before noon! He was so nice, upfront about cost, and very efficient. I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend and will use again!

We thought we were going to be spending thousands of dollars, but Ron did an absolutely wonderful job for much less money and in less than 90 minutes. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend him.

Just moved cross-country and Bluegrass Rooter was here for the 1st time. I am so impressed with these guys. Ron, Ben, and Chris did several jobs on my list, ....

including:
--Checking the bathroom sink for a drip (No drip-residual water in the screen filter)

--Pulling the toilet to check the flange and bolts (bolts were loose), finishing off with a shim and a bead of clear silicone sealer.

--Installing Concrete screws into the hose faucet outside to stabilize the pipe

--installing ducts to one of the vents in the bedroom (the main reason they came today) ....which involves going down in the crawlspace--Yikes!

These guys were friendly, professional, did a GREAT job on everything....cleaned up after themselves....just like the old days hahaha (not kidding).

Early Saturday morning I discovered water flooding the laundry room of my significant other's townhouse and realized the water heater was leaking.  I turned off the water supply rendering the condo with no water. Now what?  Who do I call in Lexington, a town I'm not that familiar with much.  

She called her sister in Versailles but her recommendation of a past plumber she had used previously was closed for the weekend.  So I did a search on Yelp first, skipping over a couple of plumbers with some not so good reviews and found Bluegrass advertised as being 24/7 and Shonda C.'s review listed first.  She is in my friends list and I trust her reviews.  I also saw photo's of the business owner and his family, plus some of his past work, indicating to me I was looking at an honest man.  But to be sure, I utilized BBB for a background check and found zero complaints in the past year, an A+ rating and that they were BBB Accredited.  So I gave them a call.

Ron answered the phone at 7:52 am on a Saturday.  This was a huge indicator to me I was going to be doing business with a good company.  He told me he had one customer ahead of me but that he would be over between 11:30-12:30 and that he would call thirty minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.  He called me back at 10:26 am and arrived in 15 minutes.  He assessed the work to be done, quoted a price, then left to pick up a new water heater and associated parts & pieces and arrived back around an hour later.  I doubled checked with my sister, who owns five houses, on his quoted price and found he came in little bit less than her prediction.

Ron and his son, who was helping him, installed a new water heater, and upgraded the water pipes and gas line, along with new valves on both, to meet today's codes.  He completed the work in two and a half hours.  We were completely 100% satisfied with the work, his timeliness, consideration of cleanliness and knowledge of his trade.  Would not hesitate to call him again for any plumbing needs.

Ron was very knowledgeable and professional.  He has very reasonable prices and excellent response time.  He fixed our problem and left our home as clean and undamaged as he found it. Ron also offered a warranty on his work. I found out the hard way that not all plumbers do that. He was very polite and answered all questions we had.  I was very comfortable having him in our home.  His work is excellent, his knowledge is excellent, his customer service is excellent.  I am very excited to find a plumber I feel is honest that I can call contact whenever needed.

The owner, Ron Derington, is extremely honest, knowledgeable and proficient. You won't regret hiring them at all. What a great job. I can't say enough good things about the company!
