i thought handy andy improvement center was
in the mississippi river state are.  i guess handy
andy needed more advertising.  make sure the
handy andy shoppers know where the locations
are.  everything i needed was fabulous.  all at
handy andy.  thanks.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!

These are the worst Handyman in all of AZ. They do not answer texts, emails, voice mail's, or calls. Their customer service is the lousiest I have ever seen - bar none. They are extremely unprofessional. They STEAL your money and don't provide a service. Their work NEVER gets done on time. They say one thing and do another. Andy - you need to start running your own business. Because Thomas will be your down fall. He is unprofessional and you are doing a dis-service by keeping him under your wing. IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT A MILITARY VETERAN?? Shame on you.

I wish I never called this company (and) I never want to hear the name Handy Andy again. I would definitely never refer this company to anyone. If there was negative stars, I would give it to this company. Good Riddance.

I called Handy Andy after reading all of the glowing reviews on Yelp.  Unfortunately, my experience was nothing close to those I read.

I had several things around the house that needed repair and, after going over the details with one of the representatives (not Andy), an appointment was set up for the following day.  I reconfirmed the appointment time in the morning, then rearranged my work schedule (including two meetings) to make sure I was here to meet him.  The appointment time came and went - after an hour and a half, it was clear no one was showing up. I left two messages (phone and email) to find out what had happened. No one bothered to return my messages or apologize for the inconvenience.  Apparently, their time is more valuable than mine.

I called Andy yesterday (Saturday) to see if and when he could come over to install my new kitchen faucet. Well...he came the very next day at 11 o'clock. He quoted 2 hours and did it in just over an hour.

I also had him look at a door that leads to our backyard that was never staying shut and he fixed it in 2 minutes! Wow!

I have added him to my "favorites" in my phone, as I will for sure be calling him in the near future.

I highly recommend Andy for any work you have around your home.

If I could give less stars I would.  Horrible service.  Does not respond or return calls especially after they said they would do the work on a certain day and time.  Just unreliable I say.

I found handy Andy via Yelp. I really didn't know what to expect but my mom needed work done around the her home. I personally have a background in construction management and have never met Andy, I have spoken to him on the phone and have seen his work, and would hire him. Don't get me wrong, at first I was skeptical, having someone I never met work in my mom's place- but he was so responsive, flexible and patient with my mom and very polite on the phone.

Bathroom remodel:
Tile floors, replace counter top, demo walls, install sliding shower doors, assemble and install medicine cabinet, replace light fixture, build cabinetry, door installation, patch and paint. Andy did a great job on all of the above. He is very detailed, clean and came up with some good ideas and workarounds. My mom couldn't be happier and loves her bathroom.

Other:
Ceiling fan installation, patch and paint.  Excellent finish to the job!

Though I've never met Andy, I am thankful for him. It's not easy pleasing my mom and Andy's professionalism throughout the project was a godsend. His rates are reasonable, his work is great, his attention to detail and responsiveness are impeccable. My only complaint is that he is in high demand and could not fit the kitchen work and other projects we would like to get done within his schedule.  If our schedules workout- we hire him again.

Background: I had called 2 other handymen for some standard repairs to rental unit and was flat out ignored by both. Then came Andy.

Andy not only took my call on New Year's Eve, but agreed to show up on New Year's day. He was timely and efficient with his run through of the property's issues. We agreed on price range and he went to work. His minimum is $50 for a visit, and he is prepared and capable to do most anything. He was telling a story of a family needing assistance w/ setting up a new swingset playhouse over the Christmas season, and they called him to see if he'd do that, which he did until almost midnight that night until it was finished.

Projects Andy completed for us: Toilet issues, Shower issues, molding and weather stripping, minor electrical, and a tricky lock installation.

I find Andy to be a real quality individual who was polite, courteous in our home and most importantly knew what he was doing and even had some work-around tricks up his sleeve to keep us from going over budget and having to purchase more from the hardware store. For all of that I am exceptionally grateful and will have Handy Andy on speed dial for future scenarios.

Too bad... Andy did such a nice job on our small kitchen cabinet repair, but it appears he has chosen to partner with disreputable, unskilled and unreliable characters.  I plan to avoid this one in the future.

I highly recommend Andy did an excellent job for a reasonable price. He replaced the edge molding on my two story house and it came out perfect. Thanks Andy!!!

The BEST handyman in the Valley! Lots of the other reviewers are right - some of the ones you call on here who get great references never call you back. Not sure how they get such great references if they aren't returning calls??  Lots of handymen on Craigslist - who can you trust? Andy is a busy guy - he will tell you, he likes to concentrate on the work at hand and can't always pick up the phone. He is also incredibly REASONABLE and FAIR in pricing. He's like MacGyver - he helped me solve some problems I was having with fencing and patio door. I told Andy he is the first guy I am going to call for all my future needs. Nice guy, friendly, focused on doing a good job and your only call for your handyman needs. Thanks Andy!

I wanted to take moment to comment on my experience with Handy Andy's handyman services. I needed a ceiling fan I purchased installed on a vaulted ceiling and called a few "handyman-type" services to see if they could assist me. Andy was not only responsive, but even took the time to find the installation instructions online so that he was prepared to do the job when he arrived onsite. The installation was a little challenging due to the height but it went well and he charged no more than the original quote. I have to say that I couldn't have asked for anymore from a handyman service and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing handyman services. Thanks Andy!

We were very pleased to have Andy replace 4 bathroom faucets and install towel racks and accessories for two bathrooms.  He also adjusted the faucet in the 3rd bathroom because the water stopper was not working correctly.  We plan to have him do some additional electrical work after the first of the year.  He works steady and his rates are reasonable.  We highly recommend him.  Genny V.

Unprofessional. Took too long to get the work done. Overcharged me, and was rude through the process. Definitely would not recommend this company to anyone. They never cared to solve the problem either.

I had a great experience with Andy and would surely repeat. I contacted Andy to have him install a mounting device on my ceiling for suspension training. Making an appointment and getting a (very reasonable) quote over the phone was easy. The job took a while because of some structural abnormalities in the way the house was built but Andy stayed and even took a quick drive on his own to Home Depot and back to pick up some parts. He was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to provide trustworthy and no-hassle carpentry.

After reading glowing reviews on Handy Andy I went to his website and emailed him.   Didn't receive a response for a couple days.  I should have stopped right there, but I thought maybe he was busy.  Tried to leave him a voice mail, but wasn't able because the mailbox was full. Should have stopped there, but again thought maybe he was busy.   Got in touch with Andy on the phone a few days later and scheduled an appt for Saturday at 10:00.   AT 10:30, no show so I gave him a text and he said he was on his way.   It's now 12:30, no show, no call, no text return (sent him another text for an ETA).   What a waste of time!   Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with this individual.    If you read through the reviews you will see that I am not the only one who received such crappy service.   Thanks for nothing.

We contacted Handy Andy to do some work for us.  A representative from this company arrived 45 minutes late to our appointment to look at the job.  He said he would be able to do the work and would text back once he looked at the schedule book to work us in.  He never texted or called and did not respond to our follow up call to him.  Terrible manners in addition to terrible customer service.  If I were you I would look elsewhere for someone to meet your needs.

I'vr been calling and leaving messages and cannot get a return call.  Andy might be good but he isn't good about returning messages.

Andy did a great job constructing the shed I purchased.  He does a very thorough job and was dependable.
